12,496 games and $127k per round average which is $1,586,992,000. Does this help?

Yes, You invested only 3.15% of your income into modules.
Now think about way you invested to other things. You apparently did not threw all those C-Bills on mech purchases.
Do you have Weapons on mech, or swap those same way as modules every time you want to play another mech?
What about engines? ...

Considering Price of mech vs Price of Modules, 3.15% is rather low number.

Your best hope is that with End of Rule-of-Three, PGI will be generous and allow you to sell Mechs at good price.

So the solution is selling mechs? Makes no sense whatsoever. Why would anyone want to buy their mech packs if this all goes through in its present state?

Well, guy spent only 3.15% of his income on Modules. If he bought considerably high number of mechs for real money and not C-Bills, he would have huge C-Bill reserve.
So, your premise is kind of flawed.

Not sure if you are still whiteknighting or already masochistic?Posted Image

But sure enough you know what you are talking about as you are member already since almost 2 month.

I do not have to be member at all to be right with my statement.
Someone who bought all his mechs for Real money has very different C-Bill situation than someone who bought all his mechs for C-Bills.

Trick is in finding balance, not in abusing possibility. Sure, He spent only 3.15% of C-Bills on Modules and swaps them around. Does he swap weapons around in same way? Why not? He does not have to have weapons on mechs. If he plays 4 mechs at time he and is fine with having 4 sets of Modules, he surely is fine with having 4 sets of weapons...

He has 90 millions now, so enough to level 10 mechs. Then he can use those mechs to get C-Bills for others. He is not forced to play mechs without Mastery as long as he has enough XP (sufficient time spent on given mech in the past).

But a lot of people suddenly realized that all those mechs they did not take for a spin at least a year will suddenly not be all that great on day 1.

I'm not really referring to the OP in particular. PGI's business model is based off of sets of 3 mechs making up a mech pack.

1. Why would anyone buy the larger mech packs if it will take them exponentially longer to level and end up with variants that are less effective?
2. Why would anyone preorder mech packs if they will take much longer to level not knowing how effective they will be?
3. Why would anyone then purchase moderately effective mechs or experimental mechs to mess around with for nostalgia's sake with either mech packs or cbills (requiring mach bay purchases) if it takes much more time to level each one.

It has nothing to do with the OP and everything to do with the business model going forward. You want to make it easy to level so people want and buy more not more difficult so people are angry and buy less. Simple economics.
