On several maps like River City you have place the Domination Circle so as to give one team perfect cover and leave the other team forced out in the open. There is no balance in that. You just hand the match to one team.

Perfect! I was just about to start a thread on this and found one!
Two major issues:
1. As pointed out above, the current position has unequal levels of cover.
2. More importantly--this is where 90% of non-Domination gameplay happens anyway.
PGI, please do like you did with Alpine and mix up the spawnpoints. If I had it my way, I'd like to see the main battle taking place either in the Spaceport or at the Nuclear Reactor:
Spaceport (E8)
Nuclear power plant (F4)
Quick fix would be to move to H6 for more balanced play, or even I6 to make things interesting. F6 would be better gameplay but might be unbalanced with present spawn points.

I'm liking the nuke plant position. Even the spawn points make sense, air-drop/sea-insertion.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
Plus, the nuke plant is an actual position worth securing! (so would the spaceport for that matter)

Both positions make sense and provide an interesting opportunity, because either team needs to decide if they attack the other team on the way or try to reach the circle before them.
The current philosophy of "everyone meets in the middle in a rush" became boring FAST.

I think the nuke plant is the best option. It offers the best option to flank round the back E4/F3/G4 and plenty of cover en route for both teams to dig in and brawl.
The airstrip sadly doesn't offer the same flexibility, the south offers substantial cover and multiple routes where as the blues are limited on the approach and attempting to circle round the back of the Dom. exposes your position significantly more.
