I feel the domination timer needs to be increased higher than the existing 1.5 minutes. Maybe consider adding another 15-20 seconds. PGI IMO did not increase this time enough to permit teams to partially regroup and mount an effort to recover the territory for all maps.
I'm not arguing for the extreme where the losing team from the first round would have time to fully regroup and mount a near 12 man push. Certainly too much time would be bad... but I see many games get into a cycle of individual mech feeding to keep the timer frozen that results in often an insurmountable negative feedback loop.
A better, but more complicated solution IMO would be for them to have timers based on the specific maps considering overall historical map outcomes and also account for overall spawn proximity to the circle and obstacles.

It used to be 1 minute, but we raised concerns since it was something that we didn't get to test on PTS.
Some say it should of been 4 times the value since you have 4 times the mechs. But with certain maps the timer is fine, but with others its bad.
Honestly the circle's location should be corrected.

just remove it from the rotation not a single map is even one side always spwans closer to the circle then the other

Domination is supposed to be a strategic game mode and regrouping after a failed engagement shouldn't be guaranteed. Feeding the meter one mech at a time is the downside to being routed in a push. The 12 man push is a high risk, high reward strategy that should be rewarded and punished heavily by the outcome. The timer mechanic is what makes the game mode different from skirmish and adding more time would remove that distinction.
I definitely think some maps need to be reworked for CW, like the domination circle on Alpine. I could get behind maybe making the generators give more time back but being harder to kill, as this would give the teams more strategic options and require them to weigh the cost of sending a lance off on a side objective. I think the spawns could be moved closer on some maps, like polar, although again this means that different maps require different strategies.
I think the real injustice is the lack of Mining Collective in the rotation.
In short, I want variety.
Let's stop asking for hand holding game changes that allow us to play every single match and mode in our comfort level.

does the area have to be a circle wanna know. it would be cool if it was set to match the ground area of any particular feature in a map.like grim, you can camp the hills around the circle, but if they made it so the areas molded to the floor of the crater area, it would make certain sniping positions less powerful as you would have to choose "snipe from hill" or "get in circle which has no cover bsides that one hill area anyways."

Yeah I agree, that is why I was just suggesting a small change to help close the gap.
Grim definitely comes to mind for circle changes... Citadel on River is boring, there are more...

Really.... one request and you respond with a generalization like that? I'm not even asking for this on behalf of myself or unit, I am asking on behalf of many matches played where i've witnessed teams get into this dilemma to begin with. It was poor design implementation that could be easily tweaked. QueenBlade even mentioned above that the developers failed to consider this issue carefully before implementing, something I had no idea about.

What probably needs to happen is that the time does need an adjustment, but figuring out the sweet spot is another matter. It probably needs to be 2 minutes (double the usual of 1 minute from FP).
The destructible objectives need to boost the time by 1 minute (assuming we're keeping the time cap of the original starting time, in this suggestion/example it would be 2 minutes).
I would prefer if the destructible objectives actually allowed to increase the time over its starting mark, but that boost would be less (like 30 seconds as an example) as that would keep things interesting.

Timer needs an adjustment on the big maps or they need to just remove them from the rotation during domination phase. Then they need to actually add objective based rewards for the players who are in the circle and/or players who are shooting people in the circle to freeze the timer. Then they need to remove that hard cap on the timer so idiots who keep shooting Alpha/Beta at the start of the match will stop screwing their team over.

For example, a tug-of-war where the players with more players in the circle than the other will shift the circle over time toward their side of the map. Alternatively you have an ever shrinking circle that starts off rather large and shrinks in on itself forcing players to get in close.

Lol!!! You guys are really good. The idea you need more timer for anything other than extending the stomp is funny. Oh and you should totally plug Wyattorc's youtube channel so folks can see what I am talking about
