So I have been having a great time mastering my Urbies. I love the 360 action, the jumpjets, the love that everyone shares when they see my sweet chassis.... I am actually scoring better with these adorable fellas than many other mechs that I have piloted. I am wondering if this is partially due to people not seeing me as much of a threat / not wanting to shoot at an innocent Urbie.

In particular, my favorite build has been the R63 with the UAC5 and 2x ML.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can go from here? I am looking for something with a similar feel but some more firepower and armor!

How about a Dire Wolf?

Meh, I have no issue shooting Urbies. To me they are just another enemy to drop.

Run a Mauler running an Annihilator build. 4 LBX 10's with a terrible engine. It's stupid, and it's fun. It's fupid.

The Urbie is pretty unique. Nothing else does 360 torso spin. You can put a small engine in a different light I suppose. The Panther is pretty useless if you like weak mechs. But no dakka on a Panther.

Maybe a Panther?

(only other Light I like, tbh)

But in truth, nothing else feel quite like an Urbie... though you can get some of the sexiness in a HBK.

The "main" panther with a pair of PPC's is actually pretty boss, when all is said and done. It can hammer those 20pt PPC blasts over and over again.

But yeah, the Urbanmech is very much unique (and awesome!)

Look at their armor buff quirks.

You can only feel bad when you leg an urbie now.

I think you are doing well because you're having fun. Had the same experience in the Bushies. Did much better than any other medium including Hunchie IIC's. At times I thought enemies might be distracted by all the weeèe and woooo whooo's coming from the cockpit.

Come on! From Urbanmech to Dire Wolf? I think my urbie is doing like 104kph now with the XL180 and speed tweak.

For dakka, either use 6xCUAC2s, or 5xCUAC2+5xERSLs. Latter build requires both NGyr-D and hero Jade Kite (those two variants are absolutely must buy).

For PPFLD poptarting, 2xGauss + CERPPC, or 2xCERPPC + Gauss. If you do not like Gauss charge, then use 2xCERPPC + 2xCLB5X instead. For brawling I use 3xASRM6 + 2xLB10X. Then there is the 4xCLRM20 build. Etc...

Wrong: PNT-10P Stock build

You can also do the Raven with AC10 or my funer RVN-4X AC 20 Boom Bird
