Now the top priority is does it lights flash when you kill someone and will it have a dedicated Warhorn for sirens?

I look forward to buying it. Support a PGI that supports and honors the community. :)

I have to admit this really surprised me. I thought maybe I'd lost a few months somewhere and it was April 1st already.

I was thinking either that or have them activate when you press "J" since it doesn't have any hatches.

....dreams of a *big* urban-only map, with nothing but tightly packed skyscrapers, to take his Deputy Dawg out on patrol.

PRAISE BE THE DIVINES,

PRAISE BE THIS GLORIOUS DAY.

BY THE GLORY OF OUR DIVINE BALLISTIC, OUR SAINT DAWG COMES FORTH.

LET THE JUDGEMENT OF THE DIVINES BE BROUGHT DOWN UPON OUR ENEMY,

THE DEMON RED DO'RITO AND THE APOSTLES OF THE BEAM.

WE SHALL SMITE OUR FOES WITH THEIR OWN WEAPONS OF DESTRUCTION.

PRAISE BE.

Can PGI make an event game mode now with this xD
Cops and Robbers style!
Simular to how WoT did soccer with T-62a's?
Everyone is given a free K-9 and the "Robber" each specially loaded out for just this game.mode (you can not use these free mechs in any other matches )

Have the objective of the robbers to deliver the goods to points across the map and the K-9's have to stop them by legging them or something (no blown up mechs, capture is the name of the game!) Idk just a thought? Be cool on a urban map to run around like this!

I'm really glad to see this hero mech is an option. It's the only light IS chassis I want to play that I didn't already have a 30% boost variant with, and now I will. Supported.

I'll never understand why so many people seem to like the urban mech, but that's ok. Even if I couldn't care less about the mech itself it makes me glad to see that PGI responded to this community driven madness, and seeing so many fellow mech warriors happy makes me happy as well.

If a pointless mech like the urban mech made it into the game, maybe there is still hope for the equally pointless Wasp/Stinger chassis.

Because Urbie is cool. Urbie is love. Urbie is life.

But mostly cool.

My favorite part of the video is still the Bishop Steiner Urbanmech museum display. Thanks Bishop Steiner for letting me use your art in this video! :)

All you need is some sweet sweet fan art and a theme song. THAT is what it takes to force a mech into the game.

I hope PGI gift you with a K-9 for the work... Posted Image

yeah..well a funny thing about that..... I guess they were going to... but somehow didn't factor in my "must have factor"... and so before they could... I already had been gifted one by a generous clan mate. PGI has offered me some interesting alternatives though, so, stay tuned!

and technically it'll be true... Cuz this isn't "technically" the Deputy.... though the ASPCA may take umbrage to an uptick in canine murders.....

I was thinking a GTA type match with villainous clan Mist Lynx robbing the city and the K9s in pursuit.....

Congrats on getting the Urbie Hero we all want, need and deserve to this community. I'm not gonna lie, I genuinely thought that this was something that was just not going to happen, that once PGI gave us the Urbanmech the whole thing would just be kinda left to the side.

Thanks for keeping the fires alive.

Also, I did this awhile back, when the Urbie was first announced, but I figured this is a good opportunity to bring it back.

I know he's not a Police Mech, but he is... lovable nonetheless.

Originally I only got mine because I wanted to help make sure the people that were really excited for the Urbie got their chance to have it, but after I got it and piloted it I found out they're actually quite entertaining to play.

I wouldn't say they're any more pointless than any of the other mechs in the game, and since they were added we've got a nice cheap mech for our HBS Battletech merc lances. I'd call that a double bonus.

all I want is a swat urbie not a cop I want one with a massive riot shield in place of the left arm. Based off an r60l but rt has 2e slots with the ac20 the shield is like the center torso of a heavy in armor.(phone responds weird with this forum)

Yea would love a huge shield arm with massive quirks.

Also they really should make the urbie cop hero.look EXACTLY like the fan art pic posted on page 1..I mean why doesnt it look EXACTLY like that or even better?

well, actually....

I traced the color channels in the promotional, and simply switched the battleship grey to a white...

and TBH, aside from the massive black police car pushbars on the chest...it's pretty dang close.
