If it's just flashing lights my vote, (if I get one), would be toggle, if it's flashing lights and a siren, I'd say kill activated. Sirens would be cool in a few second burst but much longer than that could get on the nerves.

I do like how the very first thing brought up during the update post for these heroes is that the K9's lights will be functional. important stuff dealt with immediately.

I'd prefer a toggle (for me, read: on all the time); but if it's kill-triggered, that's ok.

Then it's a shame-light: You done got ganked by an Urbanmech, and all can see. That's good too =)

I have to admit as exciting as getting my robot has been, seeing the overwhelmingly positive community response to it, in the forums and the game, has been a little humbling. I knew it had some strong supporters, and it's share of detractors, but people have realyl been coming out of the woodworks with the goodwill over it.

That's one reason I put together the fan creation contest to give back to folks (unfortunately I am, ATM, poor, so it's not a terribly big or flashy thing), but because without the enthusiasm of the community, there is no way it would have happened.

I didn't read the entire thread, so not sure if this came up -- but it needs EITHER that police siren warhorn, or considering the name, a barking dog warhorn.
