A good idea Tarl but wont work all the time as in the Oceanic TZ there are not always groups on both sides.

Well this is disappointing. It has been a while since I last played but I have never been able to get into a FP match. When I saw the email trying to sell me a civil war pack I figured they must have fully FP up and running smoothly, otherwise they are just pushing the timeline forward and selling more content for a game that, despite being released over three years ago, is still confined to meaningless variations of death match.

Today saw the first 8 hour attack phase where the IS didn't win a single match, balance is fine, working as intended, time to move on.

Lately, I see mostly scouting which I do. I have only won one FP match doing this. As for Invasion, I have only won again only one match. f I were to play more, I would love t be able to choose which mech I have which I know which part of the FP I am doing. NOT before.

Example: If I were to DEFEND the orbital cannon, then let me optimize my selection just for that and vise-versa. Same should go for QL too.
Can you play without Team speak? I do 100% of the time and not by preference, but because I have no choice too. Not equipped for team chat and mostly because I cant hear well to begin with. Having said all this, is there a place for me in FP on a Clan or IS faction? I'm not so sure if they relay on 100% team speak ad not wanting a player who never is on team speak?

I'd love to hear your opinions on this?

It tells you if you are defending or attacking before you drop. Just look at the screen while in lobby. You then select the mechs from that.

Is anyone else having trouble getting a FP match lately? I've tried 4 days in a row in the NA evening hours and have waited up to 20 minutes multiple times before canceling. Is it only groups getting in now or do I just have bad timing when I'm trying to PUG in FP?

Mercs have shifted causing an imbalance in population on Clan side. Hope some shift out soon. For the last 2 weeks AW0L has not had any issues getting a match as IS, shifted to Clans yesterday and ghost drops galore.

Yep too many Mercs have stacked Clan this week. Half of them can't play IS properly anyway, they want EZ mode, so they sit eternal Clan side as Mercs Posted Image

We were same as AW0L - IS was deluxe for a fortnight. We are doing 2 weeks on/off. However given the amount of ghost drops and stupid wait times, I understand we are going back to IS early next week. Hopefully a few other Merc units do that and balance it out a bit.

I am already fearful of how long the search time is going to be during weekend US prime time... I would expect 30mins+ given how it's been stacked this week. NFI why either, not even a new mech out!

There were 4-5 other Merc units I drop with all IS for the past fortnight. It was good, everyone got fast games the last 2 weeks. Clan wait was only 5mins apparently, so, balanced enough.

In fact we were ghost dropping hard 4 weeks ago as IS because the Clan Loyalist LRM boaters kept getting flogged like a redheaded stepchild, so they just stopped playing (which is both sad and funny at the same time).

was in a match till the server disconnected me, .. currently in a 20+ minute wait searching
earlier in the day, searching is less then five

switched to my IS account thought maybe speed things up, but nope .. still searching.
there is no more population

Almost my entire friends list is Clan right meow. Which explains the wait for Clan. IS most likely isn't playing because they're probably tired of getting stomped so that may explain the wait for IS as well.

I was in a IS invasion match last night. I got ONE kill in with my Bushmaster and it was a truly lopsided loss for IS Unit. After my second mech loss, the score was 26 Clan to 4 IS. By the time I got in my last mech, a King Crab, it was pretty much a lost match. I lasted the longest in my Spider just because I could move around faster.

Balanced? might be, but was kinda a crap shoot on my side :P
All-in-all, the last 5 matches I played for IS invasion was a lopsided loss. So I'll wait to play Clan invasion or stick to Scouting which is fun.

You dropped your assault last.

Don't ever do that again.

No idea what has been said before (TL:DR) but the wait times on Clan is just redonkulous....one match in over an hour and still waiting for our second game.

The fact we can no longer see where we are in the queue, yet alone choose what planet we are going to attack/defend, is one of my main bug bears of 4.1. I wish the queue screen was re-instituted, at least to give a visual representation of where the group is in the queue.

Hopefully some of the Mercs see the light and head IS in 3-4 days, 54MR will be.

The wait times are absurd.

The main issue is the way PGI calculates population/contract percentage. It's not even close to accurate, causing all these problems. If people could actually SEE the imbalance, Units could select contracts accordingly... Especially given our Clan contract at the moment - is a POSITIVE bonus... lol.

Aye we (IDI) are swapping to IS tomorrow, in approx 14 hours, however it doesn't change the fact that we have no REAL way of gauging where we are fighting, whether we will have an opponent or if we are wasting our gaming time.
