I have spent a LOT of money on this game and with the new Hero mechs, I'm looking to spend more....

Having said that, real life has caught up to me and I don't get to play this game as often as I used to. I'm down to maybe once a week. Plus, and correct me if I am wrong, but PGI only licensed this game till 2020. That may have changed, I've been unplugged from the news on MWO for a while now too.

It would be nice if PGI had some kind of living TRO or brochure for each chassis in the game with some stats, loadouts, and images. I have always said and still do that the mech models in this game are superior to any other previous title and the original TROs. Of course this is my opinion, but many share it. I'd like to save that piece of this game, and reference it long after we've moved on permanently.

I know there is Smurphys and even some on this site, but it's disjointed and incomplete.

if it's anything like me, it's actually downright embarrassing, and yes one could buy a perfectly viable (if not terribly new) used car for less.

Well, I do figure there will be a few things from this....

MW5 is going to be a downloadable game, I believe. So there'll be that.
HBS Battletech Series will keep some of our robots alive.....

And... MWO Heroes are now Battletech Canon..... so guess what has two thumbs and is officially battletech canon now?

*sigh* Invasion Wave 1 set me back more than that..... (and I only play maybe half the chassis.... gah!)

Why do I have to be such a battletech addict?

Addiction is indeed a terrible thing. I can't thank Russ enough for breaking my pokemech habit. Savings on mechs was enough to buy a pretty nice new computer. To think that there was a time wherein I would have gladly just kept blowing that cash on the game, month after month after month.

Before you buy anything in cash money or make payment for it, ...take a deep breath and go do something else.

Perhaps, you don't need it as much after some serious consideration hence save it for a more important occasion.

good advice, though tbh, we nickel and dime and waste money, every day. Some people buy a 5 dollars Starbucks every day on the way to work.... that they piss out two hours later. Some spend 600 dollars to go to a football game. (or more....).

Everyone has their thing. As long as you can afford it at the time, and nothing more important is neglected.

$40. Warhammer basic pack (nostalgia) and some MCs for mechbays.

Downloaded MWO when CW first came out and I thought the game is finally going somewhere after years of bad press - didn't feel the need to give PGI money ever since.

Ok in all fairness the cnd $ took a nose dive a while back and I was late to the game so needed a jump start. Sounds legit no?

I spent a large amount of money in this game, though lately, I'm basically down to only buying the basic three mech packs for $20, buying only Clan mechs mainly, skipping out most IS mechs but a few.

By buying only the basic three mech pack, I can determine if this mech suits me or not, or whether it sucks or not, before I would deem it worthy to buy the hero and the reinforcements.

I have been on a number of F2P games both PC and mobile, and this game happens to be fairly tame in scalping its player base.
