No pre-order bonus on any of the new hero mechs. Am I missing a reason that I shouldnt just wait til June to purchase?

um...it's not a mechpack. It's just a hero. There was none for the Clans, either. I mean..honestly... buy it now, buy it later... it's all good.

To be fair, it's a gaggle of them all at once. Probably a better way to do things, though, since they won't necessarily flood the queues with one weight class by default.

i noticed that too when i went to drop 10 bucks on an urbie. i might just wait till june since there is no reason to buy early. on the other hand i might not have spare money in june.

It was a gaggle of Clan Mechs too. I mean, point is, they are still single mech purchases, not big multi packs, so I mean, never expected any. I wouldn't complain if they did, but it's not exactly end of the world either way.

It is my hope that their new model is to release a bunch of mechs of different weight classes at the same time so that we don't have to go into a match with the half a team comprised of a single weight class for a week every month.

clan heros were just around the corner when they were announced, this is 3 months down the road. preorders are beneficial to pgi as they can spend your money now instead of waiting. im not about to say i should get a thing because of it, but it sure is a fail in marketing. if there was a color or 3 days of premium time, id buy it now instead of in june.

or perhaps not, if they do lucky charms this month there will likely be free pulls for people who preorder. every piece of payed content usually also unlocks an exclusive event bonus or two.

yeah they are just Heros (several of them, but still just Heros).

the only thing I can think of is St Pattys day grab bag and if you bought one or more Hero from the newest group, you get X number of free grabs (they have done similar before).

So no biggie either way. I mean when the Wang was announced, I dont recall an incentive Other than the bonus given the Hero status of the mech.

While it would be nice, it is not required considering they did not have early adopters for other heros sold this same way (ie the clan wave heros).
