It is funny as hell!
The easiest games are those where the Clanners sit back at max range for them and try to snipe/pop tart, playing it like QP.
It is LOL funny to see how damn angry they get when that QP crap does not work in CW. Once you close under cover the one trick pony they have falls over dead, just like their mechs. If they can't poke at range, they cannot fight.
The nerd rage, the insults, the claims of cheating and hacking swarm like so many flies on a pile of dung.
Wish they never allowed QP with respawn in CW.

Teams that can't receive brawlpushes while using PPC/Gauss will get rekt in QP aswell. Teams that are able to receive brawlpushes can do so in both QP and CW.
Being unable to react to people closing in under cover will get a gauss/ppc user get killed in any gamemode if the enemy team choses to push him.
But lets just go full HURR DURR QP PLAYERS SO BAD HURR DURR because we want to turn a blind eye to the fact that the skill floor of the average CW player is deep, deep in the gutter, shall we?

While I get your point...to be fair, most teams aren't EmP.

Just to add, ISEN's brawl push was very badly done, they ran out in the open in the water, not using the ample cover of buildings which gave EMP the chance to cut them down.
If ISEN had used cover and come from a different direction they could have actually gotten a lot closer and EMP would have been on the receiving end rather than what happened in this case.

I've lost to the brawl push, beaten it as well.
It's all about using the open ground, spreading and shooting the first 3-4 brawlers dead and the push is over.
Also you can counter it by simply dropping 4-5 Scorch brawlers with ranged backup given a single scorch alpha ends any Med brawler/s torso rendering them either dead or half weapons.
Like any strat you can theory it to death. You win in the battlefield with teamwork, given that is the most OP thing in the game.

That's very true, but spotting a brawl push, and falling back/kiting them is a very valid and effective response that most competent teams should be able to accomplish

-all clan ranged weapons have been nerfed already with the exception of ER large lasers
-all clan pop tart mechs recently received a minor nerf. The summoner loyalty recieving a massive nerf
-clan engines Nerfed
-clan drop weight is still 3 atlases less than is drop weight
And you still want to nerf gauss rifles and ppc again?
Death to the troll!

Long Answer: Well, first off you have the superiority of the weapons themselves. Clan gauss is lighter and less slots, less likely to be critted. (EDIT: Well okay so not less likely to be critted but still lighter and less slots) Meanwhile clan ERPPCs have splash damage making their effective damage higher than 10 while also being lighter and fewer slots. Gauss blowout is almost sure torso loss for IS which = death with IS XL as opposed to clanners who keep some of their payload and can keep poking.
Still, it's not that by itself so much as the fact that IS just has no direct answer for 2xPPC/2xGauss KDKs and MAD-IICs with their high mounts who can lose a torso and keep fighting.
Most of the IS assaults can't run 2xPPC/2xGauss at all, and those who can are too slow and (except for the King Crab) have to worry about death from gauss crit. And all of them have to show at least their upper body (some have to show more) to alpha. Some of the other assaults can run 2xPPC/1xGauss but face the same issues.
Zeus and Victor are probably the closest assaults to viability if you want to run IS PPC/Gauss. Neither has to worry about death from gauss crit, both can easily hit 70+, and you can even try to poptart in the Victor. And with current IS drop tonnage you can bring three of them and still have room for a Locust or a Commando. In that respect they match against Night Gyrs, 80 tons to 75. IS tonnage advantage covers the difference and even lets you bring three instead of two if you want. Of course unless you buy Dragon Slayer all the Victor's hardpoints are arm mounts and both of them still have to show their whole upper bodies to alpha.
As for heavies...almost all of the IS heavies can run 2xPPC/1x Gauss at 70+, though they all have to run IS XL to do it. Thankfully not all of them have to torso-mount their gauss but the ones that arm-mount have to show their whole upper bodies to alpha. Catapult and Warhammer do have some nice high mounts and Dragon is pretty tanky these days. Rifleman seems to me like the best all-around choice of heavies for 2xPPC/1xGauss. Viable speed, nice high mounts and no death from gauss crit...no PPC velocity quirks though. Quickdraw gets an honorable mention as a 2xPPC poptarter opposite the Summoner (although are PPC Summoners a thing anymore? not too familiar with em).
Realistically, though, the current IS long-range meta of ERLL boating doesn't compete on an even footing with a ~60-point pinpoint frontloaded alpha (~45 from a Night Gyr poptarter) when you take burn times and ghost heat into account. PPC/Gauss was around before KDK, MAD-IIC and NTG, but those three mechs shifted the long-range meta solidly in favor of the Clans to the point that IS as a whole just doesn't have an answer for it and more often decides it's easier just trying to force the brawl.
