However if PGI really wants to stick to integrating modules into the skill tree you can bet your *** the skill tree will cost C-Bills.
What we can really do and what is expected as "constructive criticism" is finding a way to keep it fair.

Except since you can adjust the layout of the skill tree on a variant basis they increased the likelihood that people will have multiples of the same model. So the need for a c-bill sink is misplaced when they created one by creating that feature of the skill tree.

What is interesting is the option of I am not going to use it. If I was going to by one node I would buy the extra consumable node. That in itself is a massive plus. and well worth the XP and C bills to have.
My only problem with the Skill tree is the question what would you do evening of grinding C bills and XP. say 15 Skill point worth. Personally I would find it difficult make a judgement whether it would be splurging on one tree at a time or trying to do a more balanced approach. It does seem like difficult decision especially for someone new to the game.
I reckon there should be a poll about that?

Oh I agree. I've written extensively as to my belief that the system as proposed is not only absurd but may well wreck diversity and even may kill the game. My post is a glib attempt to present the node cbill cost from PGI's perspective. I think their obsession with forcing us to use c-bills to buy nodes is that they see this as a proxy for purchasing modules. Its all I can come up with. I'll be damned if I can see an alternative reasoning behind it.

There's too many sinks if you ask me, I think upgrade costs need to be a 1-time purchase instead of something you buy every time on a Mech. For example, if I go back and forth between Endo on my Stalker its 1.25 million.

I care far more about permanent node unlocks that can be activated and deactivated as I see fit, i.e. FREE RESPEC.
