Ok, I lied; there are two contests.

Contest #1
A month or so ago I was cleaning the apartment and made the mistake of opening a storage tub to check its contents. Within were all the Lego mechs I made back in high school. Being a proper adult, I decided the next several hours would best be spent trying to reassemble them.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to identify as many of the units represented below as you can. Complicating your task is that many of the mechs are incomplete and/or reassembled from nearly 20 year old memories. There may or may not be duplicates; there may or may not be reassembly mistakes; there may or may not be original, non-canon designs; design philosophy may or may not have been consistent; relative size may or may not matter; I may or may not actually recall what a particular thing was supposed to be; past-me may or may not have sucked at Lego design and/or been working with limited parts after assembling a couple dozen models.

Send answers via PM. Winners will be based on number of correct entries with ties resolved by dueling to the death with handfuls of uncooked spaghetti. Rekkon reserves the right to be capricious and arbitrary.

First prize is a basic mech pack, reinforcement add-on or hero of your choice up to $20 value. If there are enough entries, second place will receive the same prize.

The contest shall remain open until April 24th so that winners may choose a Civil War mech in time for early adopter rewards.

Contest #2
Tired of trying to decipher past-me's ****** Lego mechs? Make your own!

Rules:
1. To enter you must post a photo of your mech created with physical Legos.
2. Your photo must include your MWO name and the current date on a piece of paper.
3. The mech must be of your own design. I want to see new stuff.
4. The mech may be any scale. It does not have to fit a minifig.

Winner(s) will be chosen by me, and as before I reserve the right to be arbitrary and capricious.

First prize is a basic mech pack, reinforcement add-on or hero of your choice up to $20 value. If there are enough entries, second place will receive the same prize.

The contest shall remain open until April 24th so that winners may choose a Civil War mech in time for early adopter rewards.

Tell me about it... my son has just started getting into Lego... even the knock off sets when I was a kid (Mega Blocks) are now the cost Lego used to be...

Alright, i'm a bit rusty on the whole forum thing, and it was a bit overcast today, and the camera was my phone's, so bear with that.

For now, look at my Vulture IV! http://imgur.com/a/fQZeZ

This is still the best thing I've ever made.

It's the Duelist, a ballistic-focused mech. I was heavily inspired by the Quickdraw and the Trebuchet.

In light of the MW4 Nostalgia Civil War Mech Pack, I am altering the deadlines to April 24th so that winners may choose one of those machines in time for early adopter rewards..

Had tons of legos when I was younger. Never made a mech out of them though. However, when I got into k'nex a few years later. Made a mess of them. When I go back 2 my old house this summer ill see if I can find any.

Didn't know which one was better. It's the blade mech, but I call it skull-crusher.
I added a custom paint scheme and some props. The rotary autocannon spins too.

This mech shares a similar origin to the experimental Prometheus. Dubbed the Prometheus mk II,
the mech resembles it's predecessor closely. After the original Prometheus program ended, and before the jihad began, the federated suns created a secret team to continue the testbed project after the snafu with Dr. Burke Kale threw a dim light on the original Prometheus project. This battlemech is a testbed for new technology in the innersphere using listen
and existing tech. The mech can rotate 360 degrees at the expense of an exposed torso-leg link. The inherent design faults in the testbed mech are rectified by it's unique mobility and weapon designs.

Armed with twin laser arrays of varying lasers, each laser can share it's power and heat to modulate the distance of the other lasers. They require twin targeting lasers each of which lie between the array and the cockpit. The cockpit is a unique hyper-ejection cockpit that can fire even before a pilot manually ejects
when a mech nears critical, the hyper-eject system activates it's impact monitoring sensor and causes the pilot to eject just before a fatal shot to the mech. Utilizing a revolutionary rotary er-large laser, and a fusion direct-gauss rifle, this mech's blatant design flaws are masked with sheer firepower and versatility. The rotary laser cuts down on the duration of each laser while targeting three lasers at the same point in quick succession. The fusion direct-gauss rifle is unique in that the fusion engine directly powers the capacitors in the gauss rifle. This mitigates explosions to only during the firing sequence of the gauss rifle and allows for range modulation at the cost of an extended charge time for the capacitors to prevent leakage or explosion.

The last strange technology on this mech is it's feet. A split-foot system allows the mech to fire heavy weapons such as it's fusion direct-gauss rifle when the foot is in stationary position. The feet can close more to change to movement position which is slower, but still very stable. At 100 tons, this mech is a weird beast of a behemoth. Some of the scientists working on it even gave it the nickname, "Cerberus". I'd hate to be in that mechwarrior's cross hairs.

*edit1: gauss (auto-correct set it to gay as, I'm sorry if I offended anyone)
*edit2: removed incorrect grammar and fixed strange wordings
*edit3:March->mech,rejects->ejects

A clan mech of the same name as the infamous daishi, this mech has twin clan ultra a.c.-5's and at 105 km/h this medium mech lives up to its name beautifully. The umbrella-like ornament on its back is actually an improved sensor relay. Not only is the daishi fast, but it's extra tonnage from a lack of diversity in it's weapons gives it four jump jets (next to the cockpit*)and masc in addition to a gratuitous amount of armor. The mech also has an impressive amount of torso twist, 270 degrees to be exact. Unlike most clan mechs, the design inspiration for the daishi was actually quite frowned upon. A non-traditional frame makes this mech more durable than it's clan brethren. Not only is the mech design non-traditional, but the curious amount of armor on the mech is the reason it is looked down upon in the clans. The designers of the widely successful Uziel inner sphere mech actually worked for the developers of the clan-daishi mech to create an almost inner-sphere style of mech. This allowed for such a large tonnage of armor to be equipped on such a small clan mech, hence the moniker, daishi.

*If you'd like more pictures of any of the mechs, just ask. I'd also be open to making more this summer. (I'm itching to make an uziel, but I'm at the end of my spring break.) :/

*edit1: clan ultra ac5's
*edit2:added more to description

Contest 1 currently has 2 entries; contest 2 currently has 6 entries. Good odds to win a mechpack.

As a side note, I never restricted the contests to one entry per person. Thus, entering multiple Lego mechs is legal and encouraged. For contest 1, each person's highest scoring entry will be used.

My first submission to the contest is:

Mad Cat (Timber Wolf)- Ranger

Statistics:
Mech: Timber Wolf
Armaments: 2 Snub Nose PPCs, 2 R-AC 2s, 3 ERMedium Lasers, S-Srm 6, ECM, And T-Comp II
Mech Weight: 80 tons
Mech Pilot: Neroc 26
Pilot Affiliation: Inner Sphere, Mercenary

History/ Teaser Story
The Mad Cat- was captured from the Clanners by former Marauder-5D pilot, Neroc26. Ever since the mech was wrested, Neroc26’s role in the Inner Sphere changed dramatically. He was the tip of the spear on many covert operations which then lead to much wealth and a grim demise for his adversaries. Neroc soon reequipped his prized possession with more familiar weaponry such as R-AC 2s. Somehow someone managed to recreate a duplicate of him and his mech as shown below.

https://drive.google...UFJpaml4X0pGU1E

Model Statistics:

Possibility: Moderate
Scaled: No. However it does hold a minifig

My second submission to the contest is:

Goliath-Devastator

Please Note: This model does not exist is MWO or within the Battle Tech Universe. The concept comes from StarCraft 1 and has received various modifications to my personal tastes. However if a similarly designed mech where to be added to MWO the i imagine that the statistics would be as so:

Statistics:
Armaments: 2 R-Ac 5, 2 Mrm 30, 1 R-Ac 2 ,and T-comp V
Mech Speed: 93.7 KPH
Mech Tonnage: 50 Tons
Armor: 478
Mech Affiliation: Inner Sphere

Model Linked below
https://drive.google...R3RES1lMcHdqMU0

Model Statistics

Posibillity: High
Scaled: No
Stability: High
