Challenger / CHV7
Statistics:
Armaments: 3 R-AC 2, 3 Medium Pulse Lasers, 2 Medium Lasers, and ECM
Mech Speed:66.7
Armor:526 Ferro-Fibrous
Mech Tonnage:80
Structure: Endo-Steel
Mech Affiliation: Inner Sphere
The eighty ton battle mech known as the Challenger is feared by all adversaries because it rivals larger mechs such as the Atlas and Dire Wolf and is superior to the infamous Timber Wolf. Bearing a heavy ballistic arm and evenly distributed energy hard points makes the Challenger a force to reckon with. Adding to its exceeding might, most models have an ECM.
Model Statistics:
Possibility: High
Scaled: According to my best judgement, yes
Stability: Very High
NOTE: When creating this model I took heavy inspiration from the Blade mech.

ENTRY #1:
HHD-7L Helm's Harold
image1.JPG
This one is an omnimech I developed to play with the construction rules. I had all the parts to switch models at one point, but most are lost and the 7L variant I designed is all that I have left.
This model is equipped with 4 medium lasers, 1 small laser in his left arm, and 2 LRM5 launchers on his right.
ENTRY #2
Griffin LAM
image2.JPG
I loved the Griffin growing up, and I always wanted a LAM version, so naturally I developed a LAM addition of the GRF-6S.
This model was built for use with the actual board game, and I had a stand built to hold it when converted into an aerospace fighter.
ENTRY #3
Blizzard

image4.JPG
image5.JPG
(Image 1 is a now broken model used w/ minifigures, and 4+5 are of one I used in the game)
This mech is my prize possession. As a 100ton clan mech, this monstrosity carried eight LRM15, a large pulse laser, and a medium laser. Totaling at 120 missiles (1 ton of ammo) launched in a turn, this mech could keep this excessive fire rate going for 8 turns if I remember correctly, AND not overheat if stationary.
I think I either maxed out it's armor, or got very close. It had a top speed of 2 hexes, but who needs to move when you can do 120 long range damage in a turn with the armor of an atlas?

I intended mine to exist before the wars of reaving. Still strange though, I guess my mech
Could be considered a precursor to this mech.

As a side note, I never restricted the contests to one entry per person. Thus, entering multiple Lego mechs is legal and encouraged. For contest 1, each person's highest scoring entry will be used.
Holy ****, I was just searching "Lego" in MWO forums to find back my own thread to add some new models...
..and I found this contest instead.
I. WAS. BORN. FOR. THIS.*
(*Well, also for eating, drinking, sleeping, sexing and dying... but also this.)
====
I usually do miniature models (check signature), but this calls for something special!
I'll need a few days to wrap up some work-in-progress, but count me in for a couple entries!
Meanwhile, enjoy my earlier models here!
(Actually I might even throw in one of those as an entry, if they weren't scrapped for parts yet)

I actually just found your thread a few days ago. Your models remind me of those a high school friend used to make. Similar scale and method of using small parts.
Also, two weeks until the deadline.

Yeah, it's the small tricky bits that make it fun; anyone can build a big-*** mech with many parts, but it takes a certain masochistic mindset to go at a collection of scaled miniatures
Here's nr 1. of the new batch and my first entry: 90 TONS OF MAULER!
Note the boxy shape, shieldy arm pieces, and those nearly impossible to miss LRM15s sticking out.
And the red. My maulers are red.

EDIT: some problems uploading images with name/date, I'll work on that tomorrow!

Originally designed to replace the revered Timberwolf, but, as previously noted, this notions borders on the blasphemous and is, of course, heresy. With only 17 tons of pod space due to it's massive engine, but.. who can ignore such a lovely, streamlined look!
HERE'S THE LINEBACKER, 65 tons of Clammy shoulderpadding!
Notes: I've gone ahead and made it a bit broader than the MWO model, as I alwas felt they skimped a bit on the 'hunched footballer' characteristic.

One of the most well known, iconic non-humanoids, and a personal favourite of mine:
The most appropriately abbreviated MARAUDER!
This one I'm pretty proud of; it's got all the characteristics of the MAD; a sleek, slim and tall yet compact mech with that typical torso and cockpit shape. Was pretty hard to fit this all together in such a small thing and still make it ressemble the MAD so well (If I may toot my own warhorn a little and I really like how some blocks (like the STs and the hip joint) connect in unusual ways!

EDIT: Tomorrow, some more.. unexpected ones!

Since I really love Marauders, I've built another one, and deviated from my usual miniature scale to put some more detail in.
I don't think I've ever built anything that inverts or flips the block orientation/direction so many times to make it all fit so snuggly together. Hope you like it!

I started work on another (bigger) model not yet present in MWO for another contest about Civil War tech, but I didn't finish in time
So, now it's finished, and I present to you my Chimera!
An asymmetrical, 40 ton brawling beast with Jump Jets, going over 97km/h, and carrying a big-*** MRM20 shoulder launcher as main weapon!
Note: the LT shoulder is actually attached to the black tube across it's back, which is attached to the cockpit, which folds forward... Yeah, this thing is more of a twisted transformer-jigsaw than a mech, haha! Compare with the source pic for ultimate OCD detail-ism satisfaction!
