Why not just let players unlock new nodes for full cost and buyback already bought nodes for 0 cost?
(Limit of 91 active nodes at a time)
Basically, 'once unlocked, always unlocked'.
Making players regrind for specs they've already grinded to unlock is a terrible, anti-fun design choice.

I'm not buying a Boar's Head back just to get the XP, but it would be nice to get it for something?
That is a good idea, I guess you mean the nodes based on a chassis or a variant?
So if you have an Warhammer 7S and you buy a second one, you have already got the skills and just need to unlock it?
Makes sense.
Or do you mean on the whole chassis?
Would also make sense, as lore-wise a mechwarrior generally knows his mech chassis even if he gets a new variant.

You are describing the current skill tree!

As I take it, he means for one specific mech...but let's hear what he means.

I honestly hadn't thought of that on a chassis level, but that would work well too!

The should charge for skill points and not skill nodes, problem solved.
