No special version
No premium time
No order

You get a special version, and premium time o_o (With the collectors edition)

They really need to make their information more clear on this one, a lot of people seem to be misreading it...

Inner Sphere
  • 3 Annihilator Standard Variants: ANH-2A, ANH-1A, ANH-1E
  • 1 Special Variant (ANH-2A) with IS Civil War Paint Job
  • 4 x Mechbays
  • 3 x IS "Civil War" War Horn
  • 3 x IS "Civil War" Standing Cockpit Item
  • 3 x IS "Civil War" Hanging Cockpit Item
  • 2 Titles
  • 2 Badges
  • 30 Days Active Premium Time
And, if you early adopter, you get a special cockpit item, a decal, 3 paint colors, a pattern unlock, and Cbills.

They did halve the premium time though... Which doesn't bother me super much, as I have 10 months of it banked already... but still, kinda a **** move

I debating on either Uziel or Mad Cat MKII, and even then, I'm debating on whether to order them or not.

I want to wait a month and see if any progress with skill tree happens. If not, then I'll make my final decision.

I still want to know why Zito's mom is cheaper than the rest and Uziel is the same price as the two fatty's.

Because that's how lights work in the new per-mech system... Look at the Javelin

Kinda bummed by these chassis selections. I know LOTS of people have been clamoring for the Uziel, but it doesn't really bring anything new to the table from my perspective.

Was hoping, considering timeline jump, we'd get some Inner Sphere Omni-mechs. Avatar, Sunder, Black Hawk-KU, et all... By this (new) point in the timeline, they've been around over 5 years. The Annihilator on the other hand, heck, we could have had that as soon as IS got Lbx- 10s.

Nah, some of us can actually go 5 minutes without insulting PGI.

I gotta keep the hate alive somehow, baby! I want my war between PGI and the community nice and hot. Never want it to subside.

Nice to see they gave the clans 1 good thing out of the whole 3060 thing being the madcat 2 c as always they go back on their word as in the skill tree gonna remove is quirks same old bs they wont see another dime out of me till they actually try to find balance which apparently is way beyond their capabilities. Always great when the guy running the show is a hard core fan of one faction and we all know what that is im a clan pilot been playing since beta and I bought grasshoppers last night just to see why they outperform in an outrageous manner lets do the math 3 large pulse and 4 er meds the meta build you don't even need to basic them for them to be stupid heat efficient due to the stupid quirks give to them pgi keeps talking about mechs under or over performing yet the grasshopper is still ridiculous pgi to busy endlessly screwing the clans to notice I guess but maybe someday they will find balance the easy way is always had larger numbers clan always had better tech makes drops 12 on 10 for is and strip the quirks

Ok, I'm having trouble finding and confirming this information.

Annihilator = Battlemech.
Uziel = I'm not sure, is it an Omnimech or a Battlemech?
Cougar = Omnimech (And thanks for pointing out the decal that comes with it, made me laugh)
Madcat II = Battlemech. (Pretty sure this one is not an Omni so therefore can't swap pods.)

Can someone confirm?

I'm insanely keen for the Mad Cat MK-II. I've been waiting or this mech since this game was announced. Just like how I knew Clan mechs would eventually get added into this game, I knew that the Mad Cat MK-II would also eventually be added.

Mechwarrior 4 fans indeed rejoice. I'm also looking forward to checking out the Uziel. Now which Mad Cat pack do I want to get....

Dear PGI,

I'll start off with the good parts first.

Great job with the mech designs and the choices of new mechs and weaponry, you've made a lot of people very happy and I have no doubt that the Blood Asp and Fafnir will come along in due time. These introductions will go a long way to levelling out the IS/Clan tech split and should give both parties plenty of new toys and builds to play with.

And now, the not so good.

$150USD. That's what it costs for the collector's versions of all 4 mechs, the purchase that is the closest to the old collection packs. That's a lot. In fact, it's nearly double what the top tier of the Origins IIC collection cost and still $30 more than either of the top Resistance or Clan packages and worse than that, they don't even come with special C-bill boosted mechs anymore, just a paintjob.

Oh but if you buy 2 of the collector packs you get a single +5% c-bill booster and a single 5% exp booster, both of which fit in the same cockpit slot. That totally makes up for the loss of two separate 30% c-bill boosted mechs right? Right? And don't even get me started on the premium time. 30 days? Active? And only for the collector's pack? Really?

I know there's a lot of people here who will open up their wallets anyway but you really need to think about what you are selling here. Because for $80USD, the price of a full and newly released AAA game, you are offering 60 days of premium time (active and half the amount of previous packs), 8 mechs (of which none have any earning boosts and the 2 collector's mechs have nothing to separate them from their base variants except for a fancy paintjob), the usual assortment of titles, badges and cockpit items (which frankly, should just be considered part of the bonus for buying these mechs with real money), a 5% c-bill and 5% exp booster and that's it. For $80USD.

Now I understand you're a business and development takes time and money. But offering a product that is priced appropriately is part of running a successful business that works with it's customer base. If you want to charge $80USD for a pair of mech collector's packs then they had better be worth $80USD. That means either more mechs, or more extras around the mechs. More premium time, c-bill or exp boosts for the collector's edition mech or even special geometry, as it was in previous packages. Otherwise, perhaps you could fold the collector's and reinforcement packages together or offer financial incentives for buying multiple high-tier packs.

With that all said I really am happy to see some of the new tech, mechs and possibilities that the 3060 era will bring to the game. Should be exciting times ahead for MWO and I truly do wish the best of luck to all involved and thank-you for continuing to develop this game, we all appreciate it, even if we don't directly say it.

But seriously. Premium time and collector's edition c-bill boosted variant.

Please.

As above, not happy with the cut in the premium time and switching it from banked to active. Unfortunately, 30 days of active premium time starting on July 18th is almost useless for me. As for the (apparent) lack of a special variant with +30% c-bills, I can potentially understand from the perspective of potentially trying to limit the pay-to-win aspect of this game, but I am really not sure why PGI would do that. All of these changes suggest PGI wants to limit pay-to-win, but it also makes me less interested in paying-to-win.

Q: What is the difference between a Special Variant and a Standard Variant?
The Special [S] Variant gives you a 30% C-Bill Boost when using that 'Mech. Standard Variants do not include this C-Bill boost.
The Special [S] Variant also come with a unique Pattern, which cannot be acquired or applied to other 'Mechs.
