so i was about to drop 20 bucks on an anihilator when i noticed something. it looks like they discontinued the block of premium time that usually comes with an std pack, and cut the collectors down to a single 30 day block. total deal breaker for me, that was the whole reason to buy a pack now as opposed to wait for cbill release.

PGI is trying to make PT more attractive to buy with MC. Especially with the upcoming skill tree. You get decals instead.

Not only decals but they're adding new cockpit items that give you cbill boost or exp boost.

5% boosts.... and only if you buy the Collector's passage of both of IS/Clan. Up to 10%... if you get the Ultimate packs.

Decals and especially colors are nice and all, good quality of life stuff.

But there's no way they make up for halving/removing Premium Time. Let alone setting it to Active. As it was, you could theoretically buy a Collector's Pack, decide you weren't all that into the next mech, and still have PT running throughout. Now if you want that you have to buy a Collector's pack every month.

Incentives may change but the entire point of the pack is to play the mech early.

I was going to do the same exact thing as the OP, then i stopped when i realized premium time is no longer part of the deal. I don't see the point of spending $20 for 3 mechs, when the skill tree drops you only need 1 mech anyway .....

I still get a huge chuckle over decals and camo...

Wait for it...

... at least HALF of your games will be on maps that are night maps. Yep, that pretty much makes that cool decal you spent some dollars on useless. Camo, mostly so.

Just something I laugh myself to sleep with some nights... I felt like sharing.

i think its less it looking cool so my Enemies see it(in a fire fight @600m wail getting Flanked)
and more that i just want my mech to look cool for me, its about me not about my enemies,

They need a seperate lighting system that's independent from mechs and the maps so mechs and their appearence are more visible.
