No, not really.
At least not until we got a couple dozen more "real" mechs first. And then I don't think it should be a peremptory "King Crab IIC", but at that point an open competition/poll for the community to decide on a Non Lore or even Custom Mech.

The 100 tonner IIC.
Yeah I know. I was just being a picky lore-monger
A literal Kingcrab IIC would be pretty nice, but the Clan ballistics on it just wouldn't be the same.

Not all IICs are the same tonnage as their predecessor, in fact most aren't.
Griffin IIC, Shadow Hawk IIC, Locust IIC, Warhammer IIC, Pixie IIC, Marauder IIC, Supernova, Conjurer, Great Wyrm, probably a few others I'm missing that aren't technically IICs but largely inspired by an older design.

Yeah. I'm with this, not because I object to custom Mechs at all, but because there's still a lot of extant mechs that players are waiting for. The Roughneck IS awesome, and I've no issue there, but it's also wholly new as opposed to just cramming in a clan version of an is mech.
And, as Bish says, a contest would definitely be an awesome way to introduce a custom mech. Let players design (draw them, assign hardpoints, maybe have lots too) take some submissions and vote. Something more interesting and engaging.

Aware of that, but i am really specifying a 100 tonner for IIC instead.

I don't use dual AC20s on any of my KGC but I'd gladly use dual UAC20s.

I'm not sure if that means they bothered to keep them running, refitted them with new tech or replaced them instead.
Clans should be able to run a lot of IS mechs if the lore is followed though.
