It can be good with Grid Iron's offensive quirks and Urbie's defensive quirks.

So it just needs the quirks of two mechs with strong quirks? It'd need ammo quirks too, at least for the gauss. There's just so many problems with it. Also it would need hp inflation but that would lead to ppl taking off the gauss. It would still have a huge "shoot here" box.

Yes, Hollander does have a lot of problems. Tons of problems actually, just like many other mechs already available in MWO.

Also, it has some interesting stuffs:

1) Big, gigantic gun.

2) Both the gun and cockpit are basically at the top of the mech. Hollander is basically an urbie without urbie's superior hitboxes. So much better than Panther, almost as good as Raven if you ask me.
With proper hardpoint inflation and defensive quirks, it is a good light mech for poking.

3) Very interesting 45ton version, allowing more ammo and more weapons.

Seriously, Hollander never appeared in Mechwarrior games, it deserves to appear. Most people know Hollander as a medium mech because only 45ton version appeared in Mech Commander 1, and almost nobody noticed there was a 35t Hollander in Mech Commander 2. So here is my mechpack suggestion:

Basic pack :
BZK-F3 : One gauss, with inflation it should have additional 1 more ballistic on same side and two energy hardpoints, one each arm.
BZK-G1 : More usable LBX10 variant. just a single ballistic but stronger quirks. Perhaps 4 energy hardpoints inflated from 2.

(made up variant) BZK-G2P : Light Gauss, without a supercharger from canon's G2 variant. No energy hardpoints but this one has total of three ballistic. Or this can be either pure laser or missile variant.

Reinforcement pack (45tons) :
BZK-F5 : 45 ton variant.
BZK-F7 : 45 ton again here. Steiner's ridiculous heavy gauss version. Amazing.

Hero :
(made up variant) : Most likely big energy guns like Heavy PPC or MRM.

IF PGI would godquirk the Hollander out the wazoo I think it would be refreshing to have a light mech that is powerful with non-MG ballistics, but that's a really big if. And by that I mean the probability is about 0.001% or so.

Also I wouldn't really want to split it between the 35 and 45 ton versions because the 45 ton versions would be objectively superior in all situations.

Also if we're going to make up variants we need at least one UAC or RAC variant for corresponding quirks. That makes for a Gauss, LBX, UAC, RAC, and PPC variant lineup. Maybe even a standard AC variant. Pick which big gun you want to pack.

The Panther 10P is already quirked out the wazoo, is big-ballistics focused, and still sucks.

Either way, enough lights and pseudo-lights! Gimme assault. Or at least a good heavy. Hellfire looks lackluster to me.

Eh, it's not really quirked that much more than the other Panthers. When I'm talking about quirks out the wazoo I mean stuff like the original Quirkening™ pass in November 2015 or whenever it was, or perhaps even bigger than that. The kind of stuff that makes people flock to the forums to decry "Overquirked!" based purely on face-value numbers rather than gameplay impact.

Plus the Panther's got low arm mounts instead of high torso, and generalized ballistic quirks instead of family specific (i.e. LBX, UAC, etc.).

It sucks because that ballistic is located on super duper crazy low arm.

It can corner peak just fine, that's not the issue. The issue is that it's just not enough damage.

No, the problem is that the very concept of using large ballistics on lights does not work in MWO. We do have Mechs which can utilize that concept well enough, including the UrbanMech, it's just that it is not worth it. The hardpoint position has nothing to do with it.
You'd need silly op offensive quirks like 40% cooldown and additional ammo.

Don't get me wrong, I'd take the 45t Hollander if it looks nice, but there is no way the 35t Hollanders can be fun in actual MWO matches unless quirked to make an Annihilator look underquirked. ...or changed conceptually by massive hardpoint inflation. But then it's not really a Hollander anymore, and you'd be better off asking for a proper light Mech anyway.

A good IS heavy is overdue. Last was the Roughneck, if that.
And the IS has some good heavies to offer, like Dragon Fire or Falconer.

IS is next; Stone Rhino and Jupiter are both clan.

August's mech announcement will likely be clan and will like be a medium unless they break order due to what looks like a major win vs HG and release more IIC.

Low slung arm ballistic and CT missile mounts are what kill Panther (sadly).

Dakka version (AC2’s?) (P)

As a veteran Gauss Panther pilot, what truly limits it is lack of ammo available for a light mech, the low slung arm isn't an issue at all. Its actually extraordinarily fun to play, and it has jump jets that more than make up for the lack of hardpoint height. As far as alternative weapon choices, not sure where you go? 2 AC2s? No thanks.

How about;
BZK-F3 - Canon, Gauss, Gauss quirks
BZK-G1 - Canon, LB10X, LBX quirks
BZK-D1P - PGI BZK-D1, UAC10, UAC quirks
BZK-D3P - PGI BZK-D3, ERPPC, PPC quirks
Then we need 2 more;
Something with a RAC, preferably a RAC5, with RAC quirks
Something with a regular AC, probably an AC10, with AC quirks

Personally I think the next mech will be IS as it's the IS's turn and due to how long it's been I think it'll be a heavy. Dragon Fire, Toyama, Falconer, Anvil or Lancelot plz.

As for lights that would actually be worth bringing in, a JJ equipped 20 or 25 tonner make more sense and would be more useful in MWO. Wasp/Stinger for 20t or Nexus & Brigand at 25t.
