Yeah, I know there's no chance of getting this done but this is how CW should be. It own BT lore world. Weapons that get crit-destroyed should be permanently gone. You want them back, rebuy. Weapons that are gone but not crit-destroyed could be salavaged back like mechs. At no cost. Well mechs should also have random chance of explosion, like in real BT but in this game it would cause too much outcry, so no. No armor repairs too, because of outcry and whine. As for ammo, it should be gone after use, just like consumables are. Heat Sinks should randomly explode when mech overheats. And sorry Gauss Rifle owners. It's end-game weapon. But in QP mode none of this should happen - so you can safely "farm" there.

Oh, I would forgot. All mechs should be rescaled to their BT sizes. And because you know it won't happen, please don't change topic to shrinking CW population.

More to this. Planets. Make most planets have things like mech/weapon factories, like in real BT. So there is a point of attacking them. Each factory can produce only certain types of mechs/weapons etc. And starting from current prices, faction owning more production of same type gets price reduction on those mechs/weapons. And the best part, quirks. Different factories can produce weapons with different quirks that work only in CW. Yes, quirks on weapons that only work for those weapons. If you want your PPC to have +5% velocity quirk, then capture planet X and if you want it to have -3% heat generated then capture planet Y. And if you have two PPC's from two different planets, those work on their own and don't share stats. Example - when clicking weapon in Mech Lab you will get a list of available manufacturers with their specific quirks. Price reduction applies globally, quirks as said before, are used only for CW.

Yes, I want. More reason for people to play in groups where they know each other. And yeah, I've dropped with such people many times. It doesn't take long to tell them what they doing wrong and unless you'll hit an idiot, there's a big chance they will listen.

For what it's worth, the repair/refit mechanic is there....it's just not being used. It all boils down to the whole faction thing because PGI controls the "economy."

Imagine, if you will, a difference in price on things based on whether you're a Loyalist, Mercenary under contract or "Lone Wolf."

Loyalists get a discount for repair/refit, straight off. Explain it as having access to the faction's military machine. If you really want to get technical, you could adjust that discount based on whatever that faction produces. As an example, the Atlas D-DC is a Draconis machine, so if you were a Draconis Loyalist, perhaps you'd get a major break on it.

Mercs signed with a specific faction get something similar, just less of a percentage.

You could even give a base percentage to both across the board if we're considering the Inner Sphere as united against the Clans, and give bonues to them during events.

"Lone Wolves" get nada. Until you learn how to become a Merc or Loyalist, you're in serious potato territory. Perhaps you shouldn't be allowed to sign on with either until after your Cadet matches and completing the tutorial. Hmmmm.....

If only.

Yeah, my post was all about making CW feel like BT game not some dumbed-down pointless arcade robot shooter it is now(also called QP). Sadly population is probably too low for such changes and company is interested in MW5. Plus, actually all crywhales and forumwarriors are unable to accept any changes that reach beyond tip of their nose, so just think about all the rage rage and whine if any change like this would happen(hint, my poll).

Anyway, if you want to laugh, check out posted video with time mark I've put.
