Because our player base is so large we can afford to drive people off, and besides that everyone naturally loves trolls, they are known for their great personalities…

TrueDubs at 2.0 and 2.3 with Coolrun means they will never shut down a robot. Maybe if they're running hot and activate HoverJets™


They will cool slower, of course. A Fifth to a quarter slower in most cases for single mounts, or almost everything from a Cute Fox

Actually, the problem tends to be players who wear their panties a few sizes too tight and get butthurt over everything.... hmmmmm...... kind of like this post!

Not really. I'm not a big LURM guy. I will, however, be smart enough not to stick LAMS on everything, because of heat issues and a giant laser pointer in the sky screaming your position. If anything, they will be resitricted to my gauss carriers, and even then will spend a decent chunk of time turned off should I not be spotted.

Well here is my take on it, there are a few mechs like the Kit Fox that can fit three or some mechs that fit at least two, right? Well what I would do, and no one else has to do it but I will. I would first hope that they have a toggle on/off to AMS laser and then a separate for regular AMS. If that is the case then I would run at least 1 regular AMS and 1 laser AMS, just have the laser AMS toggled off until the regular AMS runs out of ammo or unless I really need it. But that is just theory at this point.

I intend on incorporating laser AMS into as many builds as I can when it comes out. Thing is, I'm only going to have it turned on when I am trying to strike out across the open and not fire my weapons. I might also turn it on if I'm in cover and I notice someone next to me getting the crap LRMed out of them.

It really depends on how much heat it builds up, also could it have a the heat build up mechanic as if you where being hit with a flamer? As in doesn't the flamer heat up the target to 80% or something and then that mech has to fire its weapons to actually over heat? If it gets a mechanic like that then I might just put it on every mech.
