Modules sound like they will be returned as some type of upgrade credit. It's unknown if they will be worth cbills+XP or just cbills. That is u less you don't care if they're cbill upgrade credits then buy modules.
At this point I have 100+ mechs worth of module credits so I don't need any more lol.

Afaik since they pulled the skill tree for the time being, what has been currently said doesn't indicate anything about directly getting the cbill value of modules back as cbills or something redeeable as cbills which can be spent on other things like mechs. For all we know any cbills spent on modules now may only get us credits that can be spent inside the skill trees or whate ever and not on mechs/equipment
(many are waiting to find out the details with torches and pitchforks close at hand, rightly so because PGI said we'd get refunded cbills from modules multiple times and if we don't it'll make them liars and the shitstorm will be much worse than the whining from the unicorn pokemech players that felt like the progress on lvling +200 mechs was being devalued by the skill tree.)

To many people that's much more upsetting than mechs that are mastered now not being mastered in the new skill tree.
The people who bought modules would actually be losing cbills, the people who had mastered mechs that aren't mastered in the new PTS never lost any skill points, they just need more now than before.
Give people their cbills back Russ.
Edit:
This is why I wanted the skill trees released now, not later, its a very likely possibility that it will only get worse.

Never buy more than one modules, skill tree or not. If you need one you dont have now id go for it but dont buy duplicates.

So with that in mind I am not buying anything new, am planning on which mechs to get rid of assuming their variants are still being made redundant or simply bad (see nerf charts) and making sure to have at least 15500 over mastery on any mechs that are still viable/competitive/I still irrationally want to keep so that in case the XP cost of a mastered mech stays where it was in the last iteration of the skills tree, they are ready to get fully skilled out.

Im just doing the flat mastery without overhead. After 21k i want to change mech when i play for grinding purposes. Thats enough to get seism/derp and the perks to keep the mech cooler. Mech i like alot already have the overhead xp.
Yesterday i started looking at the R2 mech i dont play like the crab and BK and i did the basic without upgrading them lol. Stayed on shs and no upgrades beside weapons/engine lol. I hated that they were all energy and i wasnt going to pay cbills for that. The crabs are playable with shs(1.3 dissipation), i think im gona do that tonight.

That would basically mean that I'd have to sell my modules at half the price in order to get at least some C-Bills to buy all the new tech, especially the LFEs. En masse.
That would suck. Big time.

Modules, only if I want one that I dont already have. Otherwise I'm just swapping them from mech to mech.
In general I'm not really wanting to spend cbills on anything as I'm wanting to save for new tech. So I'm also likely to engine swap alot more now too.
