Types of players in MWO

The Lone Last Healthy 100% Assault Mech That Went to Cap and You Could Have Used Them in the Actual Fight... Player: "Okay guys, you go fight them and I will go around and attack the Nexus" --some glueeater probably....

The Primary Objective Player: The player that doesn't realize the primary objective is usually easier when the enemy dies. Often they override to shoot the VIP as their teammates beg for help over VOIP. Primary objective is primary and killing is 2ndary for a reason guys, L2P.

The MLG Player: Simply the best players of MWO hands down. Some of them win tournaments and prize money but don't quit your day jobs.

The Stat Stalker Player: Forum goers that see silly ideas or arguments posted by a particular user so they go check to see how potato they are on the general leaderboard. If the two jive as expected then they know to discard everything they type as baseless.

The Memed Player: Infamous players of MWO. These memed players and or sayings are known throughout the game and especially by forum goers and outreachHPG shiptoasters. This includes "10v1 me IRL" and The House of Lords "ggclose" among others. Its not enough to simply make a meme in mspaint or get upvotes to a shiptoast, it has to achieve near game wide recognition.

ECM Bro: The awesome teammates that share their Magical Jesus Box with you to protect you from skill cannons.

The Suicide into the enemy in a scout just to put up a UAV and die Player: Hey guys I found them

The F-Zero Minigame Player: That ERLL or ERPPC Cheetah that kites 3 laps around the map and then finally dies after turning the game into F-ZERO for 15 minutes. Its still in play because they have a slight chance in hell to reverse a 11-0 game. (they don't)

The Leeroy and the Llama: Beelines into the enemy or goes off on their own to die horribly.

The Take a Direwolf Into Solo Queue and Cry About NASCAR Player: Nuff said

The "We lost because you guys didn't hold locks" Player: Competitive LRM specialists

The put LRMs on a Light 'Mech Player: aka, you are down a light 'mech from the get-go

The "Mediocre" Player: players with pink names or soon to be pink... hint hint...(Russ made that meme: For those that don't get it, its a reference to Fury Road and banning cheaters)

The Anyone That Kills Me is a Cheater Player: These real beauties are what keeps the salt factories running on overtime. aka. Anyone that CTs me as I stare them down is a cheater Posted Image.

The Social Justice MechWarrior Player: That player which is easily insulted or just on a hair trigger to report everything in-game or on the forums. If you really really trigger them you get the mega ultra 5 report alpha strike. A simple "gg" at the end of a 12-0 stomp usually does the trick with this type. If you touch their safespaces expect to hear screeches which sound something like REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. (headphone warning)

The 0 Armor Trollolol Build Player: The one hit wonders that explode after one shot and the various other trollolol builds. If the mech can launch into quickplay its legit to these guys. Contributed by Bogus

The Forum Meltdown Player: Ha ha ha

The Div C Player: Div C 4 lyfe, the better than average less known players that you don't want to underestimate.

The Potato - the player with the 15,000 DPI mouse or "Gaming" Trackball which is cranked up all the way and they avg about 60 damage

The CW potato - the same dude with 4 tries and 4x60 damage

The Potato, Drop Commander Edition: That Tier 4-5 player in pug queue that thinks he can drop command but you want him to stop for the love of God

The Player You Alpha in the Back and it Turns Light Yellow: Holy **** thats a lot of rear armor. If only weapons could be mounted on your back you would be set.

The Baby Seal: New players which must be slowly weaned into the game by the loving community: (they arnt)

The "my mix builds should work good in this game" Player: Wants the game to work how they think it should and thinks their special snowflake multimeta should beat the cookie cutter metahumping tryhards.
"My Battlemech can provide both direct and indirect fire support and is effective at all ranges" (its not)

The Ultra Tryhard Metabuild Humping COD !@#$ Lore Player: The arch enemy of the lore guys. These are the players that buy a 'mech and then soon realize the stock loadout is ca ca. They then hit the mysterious "Strip All" button and make repairs to the configuration. There is no match to this level of evil.

The **** The **** Matchmaker Every Game Player: I think everyone has been around here once...okay maybe more than few times.

The Go and Hide to Save my Precious KDR Player: They exist and there is a special place in hell for them.

The Lore Purist Stock 'mech Player - The answer to any issue with the game is to use table top rules and make everyone drive stock. (its not)

The Joystick or Nothing Sim player: This is the ULTIMATE full immersion player. They just...you know....can't hit the broadside of an Awesome...but these are minor details.

The More Posts in the MWO Forums Than Matches Played Player - You know who you are.

The Salty @$$ pug lord player: Sodium Chloride is something he wish. Dies in first minute and cries over VOIP.

The Player Raging at you in a Language you Cant Understand: It happens

The Tweet Russ Tons of Stupid Stuff Player: When you check twitter and your forehead hits your desk after reading twitter discussion

The Completionist: Plays Mechpokemon and bought almost everything. They keep the servers up and fund PGI's deli sandwich habit.

The Cheapskate: 400 mechs and 3 modules. The "completionist" that skipped leg day when it came to modules....

The Manbaby: threaten to quit spending $$$ or refund X Y Z mechpack as a goto strategy. They make a very destructive whalesound which can shelve any feature it comes in contact with.

The Content Creator: Always out of game trying to make something amazing to share. Whether its video editing, guides, mspaint, etc etc.

The Spreadsheet Warrior: They spend as much time in excel or google sheets as they do in the arena or the mechlab.

The Intense Roleplay Player: That guy on VOIP that sounds like hes playing armyman w/ robots and he wants you to know all about it

The LARPer: Live action roleplay. The next level of roleplay in MWO, costume and all. Some even think they are the self proclaimed leader of entire factions.

The Player That Pretty Much Drives Just 1 Chassis: A different breed of roleplayer. I know of at least 2 players and they are excellent players but I am certain there are dozens more. "IRL" you would only ever have one 'mech though right guys?

The Islander: Some salty pile of butthurt somewhere that magically comes out of the woodwork whenever there is drama and they predict the end of the game again

I forgot one...

And finally, Average Joe: Half of everyone is worse than you. That in itself is a respectable accomplishment

No need to put a trigger warning. You'll grow up and realize that trigger warnings are just as real as the easter bunny and tooth fairy. It's all make believe and in your head.

You know who i'm talking about.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but there was this one guy who drop commanded a bunch of QP matches I was in quite a long time ago now, who totally RP'd it up. It was ridiculous; totally over the top and hilarious.

But we won every single match. So while I started out "Wtf is up with this dude?" by the end of the night, as soon as I heard him on VOIP I'd just assume we'd win.

Not to say he was amazing, but it's a fact of Pug Life that A Plan is better than No Plan, and as ridiculous as he was, he was such a character that he got everyone's attention.

Wish I could remember who it was.

OP forgot "rabid Clan loyalist", and "rabid IS loyalist". Both loudly talk on VOIP about how the loss is entirely due to the other faction's superiority.

The ironic thing about this comment is that most of the builds on Metamechs aren't actually 100% optimized. They're better than what most of the masses run, but they ain't the pinnacle.

Metamechs is actually mostly useful for new players or people experimenting a bit with a new mech or build.
