I don't know, this thread just whispers that to me.
Look at that video McGral posted.
Those Lights which I meant are oftentimes just standing there like a statue while firing their weapons at you (or your teammates). It's very satisfying when you have Gauss Rifles to show them what not to do.

Did you know that the Awesome 8Q can fire quad PPC without shutting down?

Use to be able to fire 6 PPCs on a Stalker and not kill yourself. That was more satisfying. (mind you was as in past tense)

Have you ever seen a friendly ERLL Raven chilling out 1.2km away from the fight, collecting his 250 damage?
Have you ever wanted to shoot him right in the face for that?
Yeah, well you just found one of those guys on the other team, so now you can! It feels good.

I used to be sooo good at legging lights with gauss and AC20. But with all the structure/armor quirks and broken hit boxes on some lights...<heavy sigh>

On a more serious note...
While hitting lights in MWO certainly isn't the pinnacle of difficulty in videogaming, hitting a fast moving, dodging light (not like in the video above) at longer ranges is probably the most difficult thing MWO will deliver, from a pure mechanical skill point of view. While lights are weakest mech class in this game, they are also the hardest to hit.
I can certainly see while people are getting satisfaction from landing difficult shots (which, again, the shot in the video above wasn't), which usually results in a oneshot on lights. Doesn't take away anything from the shot itself though.

Those Lights need to stop standing in the open thinking that nothing could harm them.

I usually follow that up with a message in all chat "stand still moar", or something to that effect.
The guy is ALWAYS disconnected by the time I finished typing it. Always.

To be honest I am thinking right now why not change out the dual gauss I have on my jager with light gauss rifles. Also then throw in an LFE or XL if need be I might be able to squeeze in a third on a "jager".
Or even looking at some mediums might be able to squeeze in two light gauss rifles.
There will gauss, gauss rounds EVERYWHERE!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Well, for reference, light gauss is 12 tons. So if a mech can fit dual AC10, it can fit dual light gauss. But light gauss is also only 5 slots, so if it can fit two UAC5s, it can fit two light gauss.
So, Bushy definitely can fit it. Uziel can probably fit it. The Grid Iron (by extension, Trebuchet) might be able to do it (forced to use LFE, probably under 250 rating). Shadowhawk can probably manage it with LFE as well.
So not many, really.

Centurions and Enforcers might be able to as well which that would be the majority of the 50 and 55 tonners with ballistic hard points

Vindicator
Wolverine
Probably Not:
Black Jack
Cicada
Phoenix Hawk
Maybe:
Centurion
Enforcer
Hunchback
Trebuchet
Most Likely:
Shadow hawk
Bushwacker
Those are all the mechs the IS has with 2 or more ballistic hard points. The Centurion and Enforcer I would put higher on the most likely out of the 50 tonners because they have the space in the arms where at this tonnage you are more likely to be forced to go with XL engine to fit 2 light gauss. But maybe you can get away with it by using an LFE in the Hunchback and Trebuchet.
* This listing is for fitting dual light gauss in a light mech and if it is do-able. Not saying it would be wise.
