Text appears microscopic in menus, and menu elements also tiny.
Fonts are rendered so crudely it's unreadable..

Issue appears at resolutions beyond 1280x800 approximately (my system runs like a well oiled machine on 3800x2160 with every other program except MWO).

P.S. Additional bug with window positioning apparently still alive and well from 2012, this is caused by changing resolutions and swapping from window to full windowed. The client window spawns partially out of bounds and cannot be moved or adjusted, since the client window is out of bounds you can't change settings back either.

You have something like "DSR" enabled in the drivers? It renders games at higher resolutions than your monitor is capable of. Switch it off in the driver and fonts are back to normal.

You could also select the appropriate in-game resolution for your display.

Monitors native resolution is 4k, the issue is PGI's engine doesn't render correctly certain screens such as the mech lab and others at high resolutions. It's not like this is new but recently the fonts have turned to garbled unreadable text more so than before. So at "native" resolutions I couldn't even read the menu's let alone see the menu boxes Posted Image
Someone is texting me in game and I almost can't read it. >.>
At 2560x1600 it's sort of readable. I've mentioned already that no other game has this issue.

You did not answer his question but DSR enabled might be enhancing the issue. True that UI pieces do not scale with resolution and to have that changed anytime soon is nil, not without a game rewrite or a new game engine. Also test by turning off Antialiasing

And I thought my UI was tiny at 32" 4K ;P

24" @ 4K? Man... Is that even worth it? If it was me I'd go for 240hz 1080 or 1440p at most on such a tiny screen.

But yeah, its pathetic that games in 2017 are not DPI aware and have no scaling mechanisms. I must say the crosshair and stuff actually do scale, so its not 'impossible' here.

Ah sorry didn't know DSR existed but the answer is DSR doesn't exist as an option for this card. Will try futzing with AA

It's what I could afford and it was for photoshop and other uses. It's nothing like the screens being sold for gaming.
Cry engine is the only thing that coughs up furballs. Other games and applications love it, it looks razor sharp with perfect color depth.

Ok futzed with settings and 1900x1200 Restores text and mechbay back to 95% readable condition, improved from 30%.
(AA did nothing for it but i changed it anyway in addition to changing resolution.)
Thanks for the suggestions peeps!

Change your settings to 1920x1080.

If your screen res is 3840x2160, then that's a 16:9 screen; if you're sending it 1920x1200, you're sending 16:10 so everything will be scaled again -- possibly distorted.

That might get you all the way to 100% :)

yeah 1080 puts it back to text rendering correctly.
