2HLL and 17 DHS was my plan
ECM

Should be good enough for ~500M poking (which isn't that far off the LPL build, but should be more damage and cooling)
What type of falloff Heavy Lasers get can put the damper on it. I don't expect the HLL to hit much past 500M, extreme falloff (but good within that niche...PGIPLZ)
Also 4 more heatsinks

4 more? That's some cooling there!

And you're going to need it. You know what 2 cERPPC do to your rate of fire. 2 HLL will be hotter if they're true to tabletop, which is where they always start..

So...you think ghost heat should kick in at more than six fired? Like seven or eight? I think their regular heat will make that impossible.

Smaller, less than the six mediums get. I like someone else's idea that they should essentially be used by mechs with low hard points. Not boated into oblivion.

Really, you chose to pick out the one actually unique clan variant weapon over all of the IS ones, and didn't even bring up its potential cooldowns, ranges, laser duration, damage falloff rates, ghost heat potentials, and then compared to to a PPC?

Well hey, while we are asking for/comparing silly things, when will we get a pinpoint energy based weapon that has a tiny heat rate and very low cooldown but with a charge timer and ammo? Ballistics are OP because energy doesn't have access to a gauss variant. /s Posted Image

Welp they're trash except for a shadowcat paired with lmgs, so there you go.

You must be using them wrong mate or just trying to get the full duration while face tanking.

2xhll, 5 or 6x MPL on an EBJ.

2hll and 3-4 cerml on a HBR.

PROFIT!

I don't really use HMLs. Anyone using them?

I am on my shadowcats and linebacker just flank and hit heavies and assaults in the back and run off.

Tried to on a Timberwolf (I forget which 2 LL I was using with thm). Too hot, and MPL just worked better.

Sorta what I noticed. Any of the tonnage starved mechs that would value the 1 ton vs 2 compared to MPL are also slot starved and the 2 slots isn't worth it. Not the heat.

Just nothing it does i don't get better out of MPL or cerml.

On the MG mechs
Those who can't fit HLLs

Mr Gargles has an 8 HML version...not worth it, though

I'm just wondering how are yal using hml I have a weird feel most people is using it as a brawling weapon rather than a flanking weapon to hit fatties in their weak spots (backs, legs, exposed components,etc.).

Just want to see how yal play em that's all.

Usually as secondaries to UACs.

You adding alot of extra face time that's already required from UAC's, meaning more damage or miss damage if you twist and retreat.

I just run ersmls, 2x the number for more damage, better heat, shorter burn.
