Snub Nose being slightly different, Lighter for larger (6 tons 2 Crits VS the PPC 7 tons 3 Crits)
3 LPPCs=HPPC (9 tons 6 Crits VS 10 tons 4 Crits)
LPPC+HPPC=2PPC (13 tons 6 Crits VS 14 tons 6 Crits)
So that last one is all benefit
So, it saves a few tons at best.

Snubnose are 6 tons, 2 crits. So lighter and smaller.

It's not really fat shaming, but the reality of the rescaling made small mechs the equivalent of "mediums" is why the light queue is what it is. When your optimal choices are ACH or LCT, that means someone effed up and are not willing to admit to it.

I would like to point out the amount of lights in game before the mech re-scale, was small as well. So ultimately no change.

Um, Raven's been irrelevant (long leg hitboxes make for easy targets)... Firestarter and Panther are huge (like POTUS). Even the Clan mechs that were already slow... well, they became bigger.
I mean outside of a Lolcust (which got smaller), what Light hasn't PGI touched that made it the same or worse?

I am not disagreeing that PGI changed all those mechs but just pointing out people where not running to play a light mech before the re-scale and they still are not after, just now they have an excuse.

FS9-S was neat
30 mid range MPL alpha was good enough
It had decent hitboxes, before being wider, even with the isXL
It hasn't been used in months. I should sell them

Agreed.
I'd not run anything other than a LCT or a ACH since the rescale really. Anything IS is just a XL light is just a keyboard smashing waiting to happen.

While that is definately true, the rescale did lower the light mech queue even more and most importantly killed the variety. Before rescale it was common to see Firestarters, Ravens, Jenners, Jenner IIC, Commandos, Spiders etc. and now all you see is Locust and the Cheetah. And well some spiders and ravens occasionally but the others are very rare.

The SNPPC could be nice for brawler mechs that have some heat capacity to spare, but the panther is a deathtrap at close range and is fast enough to mostly avoid minimum range problems with normal PPCs.
The LPPC could be helpful; 4xLPPCs is 20 damage at 12 tons vs. 20 damage at 14 tons for 2xPPC. Its really inefficient in terms of critical slots and hardpoints, but that doesn't disadvantage the 9R.

I sold it. Keeping my Ember though, just cause I bought it with MC.
