No. Incursion game mode is in test and slated for next patch. We probably won't hear anything until the second week of April, when the April patch is more or less done.

I wouldn't expect to hear about it for at least a month, maybe more. If you're asking whether or not you should buy 3 variants to master, I'd say yes. Unless you really, really like playing two-three months in unmastered mechs.

They better not turn their tail away from the ST, but then again its just my fear speaking. It have alot of potential and the engine decoupling can even things out and balance accordingly.

Hold on a second! Get in line. PGI should look at InfoWar first. Posted Image

I don't know, and on past experience, we won't see it again, which would be bad.

I was dead set against it being launched as it was, because well.

It wasn't ready for live, and I'm really tired of things getting put into live not ready and then being 'fixed' or like long tom, another broken addition, dropped.

Skill tree with more work had the ability to be a very good addition, and it would be sad if they just abandon it

Looking at the previously postponed PTS projects my guess is it's simply gone, don't expect to see it again.

I really want to be wrong about that...

It's been less than 2 weeks since they posted their status update. http://mwomercs.com/...e-status-update

They said they were pulling it and doing more work and admitting frankly that it *needed* more work. I thought that was an informative and honest post.

They make a strong statement that they will rework it and it *will* be back.

There's currently an event, a PTS running, Civil War work, new tech being worked on, rumors of an IS mech pack coming out... I think they've got enough to keep them busy.

Personally I agree that it needs not only more work, but possibly a full rethink. In it's current form (from what I can read) it does not address ANY balance issues, fixes nothing, requires major player time sink for anyone who has more than a handful of mechs, removes many quirks without replacing their purpose in any way.

The mobility de-synch people seem to like (it does not appeal to me but I'm open minded on it), could and probably should be implemented separately and could come in first.

TBH if they spent 6 months re-working it before running it on PTS again I wouldn't be surprised. I know people will scream if that is the case but I am taking past schedules/developments/delays into account and that time frame feels about right. (That means it will be another ~2-3 months before you get an info update, OP, to address the question)

Don't get your hopes up.

Russ seemed pretty set that the basics are where they want them. The only major changes are going to be in how people are reimbursed.

Still I anticipate yet another hissy fit "cuz it's not how solahma made it!,"

At which point it will probably join energy draw. But it's cute that people are still thinking we'll get something else

So... blaming the community for PGI's incompetence?

I'm pretty sure that is the byline that PGI is selling us too. It's the community's fault PGI is incompetent.

Was I? Pretty sure I just was starting a fact.... The skill tree our vocal minority wants and the one Russ is intent on, ain't one and the same, and Russ has shown zero interest in kowtowing to you guys.

The merits of the actual PTS are, frankly nowhere near as black and white as some of you like to claim, and frankly, are irrelevant to this particular conversation. But hey, keep preaching that agro like it's the Gospel. Whatever makes you feel better.

I have no problem whatsoever if the concept of a "skill" tree is dumped altogether. Do we actually need one?

Its a lot better than what we've got now. Id rather have to spend a bit more cbills to level 1 mech and less xp than 3 mechs to get 1 great mech I love than 1 decent and 2 **** mechs.

It will also make mech bay requirements less.
