Hi,

im 23 and im a german in real life so its naturally House Steiner for me. I was 10 when i first read the novells from my dads bookshelf but i never had the chance to play the tabletop. I started to play the pc-games with MW3 and every part of MW 4. **** i loved the Black Knight expansion. (Yes i like MW4!!!)

So lets stomp some snakes and crapellians together!!!

Nearly 30 now. First encounter with some novels. After that MW2, all parts. Heck MW2 Merc didn't worked well on my old PC, have had to buy a newer one... at the same time i have started with the board game. In this early phase of gaming i have fought for snakes and birdies.
But the blue white checkern and the illustrious but short history of the Skye Jaegers have brought me home.

My sworn enemy is thanks to some Dark Age Novels the Jade Chicken, but snakes are a good foe too, for both the greatest honor is to die in battle - and i'm glad to deliver.

Sry but Dark Age doesnt count :)

I mean the clan that hates unnessesary things most uses "fake-wings" on their mechs? And doing such silly stuff like let their recruits fight with rifles on tanks? Honor the best enemies that you have!

Well I'm just about to hit the spritely age of 19. I first played Mechwarrior 2 back in 1999 at the age of 7 and was pretty much hooked on MW ever since getting mercs soon after, and snapping up each new game as it hit the shelves. I've never played a game of classic Battle Tech but I own a few of the minis that I built and painted. (All in Steiner colours :)) After reading alot of the background on BT I found myself drawn to Steiner and have been here ever since.

Back in the day my call sign was Steiner21.... not sure if we had any Royal Blood in our veins it just sort of stuck through the generations. Like every snot nosed welp I started on Commando’s, I suppose we pretty much all did. Well I think I got a hang of missiles as they moved me into Crusaders next had a few shot out from under me the last when I tangled with a Warhammer on Delacruz.

I have a mind for in close and personal so my Co at the time transferred me to Hatchet Men, boy are those things fragile but the Class 10 gives it a decent punch, just right for killing Draconis Scum in a dark alley. Got moved up to the Axeman but I was never comfy so they put me in the Zeus, nice to have LRM's again but you have to mother your shots.............
The Banshee CN2, that’s where its at I have to get me one of those....

Mechwarrior2 unofficial expansion pack anyone remember that one with the 3Dfx update. So you pretty much can work out how old I am but a keyboard/screen are a great leveller. So, I'm based in the UK and although brought up with FASA I moved onto the game when it came out for PC.
Been looking forward to this for a very long time, sorry to say but I’m glad Microsoft have nothing to do with this project.

Stay Frosty

Been around since the old EGA GENIE days. Been through just about every version they have come up with and still hang around in the background. Good to see a number of my old players here.

Started with MPBT when AOL was free to play. Moved to Gamestorm MPBT and was recruited by HoS into the Knights of St. Cameron. Spent what little time there was available in EGA 3025. Most recent was involved with ISW.

Just a historical (MPBT background info) note, although the Lyran Commonwealth was ruled by House Steiner, the Commonwealth was made up, in large part, by Scots/Irish descendants. Note the many planet names with Scottish and Irish names. Not to 'dis' our German heritage enthusiasts of which I share a part, but to share with the newer people the great history of our Lyran glory. Check out the rich (imaginary) history of the Game. There's tons of info on the web, and you can even still find Field Manuals and Tech Manuals in some Gaming stores and Used Book stores.

Luck, Honor, Skill

I suggest you read the rules on partial wings. They are not fake.

25, watched the BT cartoon which got me into the SNES game and eventually MW3 and MW4. After that I didn't do much with BT until a few weeks ago when I started playing the tabletop game.

Damian here.
Though being half German, my loyalties lay with Davion.

Steiner's not to bad though.

Major Tom reporting in.

I'm 34, so my ties go way back to the old Mad Max, pre-Clan days and MW1. Primary hangout is Solaris7.com but can be found lurking at Mektek, CBT, Sarna, and a dozen other lesser known. Always been a Lyran, don't see any sense in trying to be a white hat (Davion), near psychotic (Liao), or argue with myself in the mirror (Marik), though grudging respect for the DC.

Long live the Archon!
