Why does the Supernova use a standard engine?
Seems kind of uncharacteristic for a Clan mech.
Would it be a bad idea to put an XL engine in one?

Not at all. I The first thing I was advised to do was change the engine. Put in an XL 325. Makes a huge difference.

I looked for it in the in game store and couldn't find it. I just want to buy one, do you know when it will be available at the in game store?

I just changed it out in the Mechlab. I removed the standard engine and upgraded to the XL.

Actually, I didn't think to look in the store. I suppose once you upgrade it, you can always remove it and put it on another mech. I'm just not sure if it's limited to certain mechs or not.

Just in case or FYI the mech will be added to the "in game " store MC purchase is May CB in June until then it's a cash purchase via the web store. For engines mechs do have a Max so you can move the engine between mechs as long as you don't exceed the max. But the mech lab won't let you install it
