Help me figure out a weird competitive (read: not trash) build for this thing guys!

Edit: Derp. Didn't realize you specified the C variant. Hmmm. Yeah, I personally wouldn't bother with it until new tech comes out. Otherwise, you're going to have to just load up big AC's in the torsos and ignore those 2 E hardpoints.

IIC-B at least does something different, IIC-A handles the energy, and the IIC drops the useless arm lasers for two extra ballistics, adding some extra build types to the array of what it can do.

4 UAC/2.
The other good option is 2 UAC/10 2ERML, XL255, all torso.
That build cannot be done on the IIC-C, as it only has two ballistic hardpoints.

It can do the Poptart build as well, Gauss+PPC
Big Dakka and SPLs for an adequate (but not exactly optimal) brawler. LB20 or UAC20, 4 SPLs
Max engine, max HoverJets™
Not exactly competitive, but it's adequate for Potato Land

That is the variant I don't recommend to people, tbh.

For brawls, it is nice to have one of these just because of how brutal it is to things like lights despite how slow it is. Sure, you can do that on the HBK-IIC-1, but it is nice to have another ballistic oriented variant so I can have 4 UAC2 on one, and 2 LBX20 (or Gauss) on the other.

I wasn't a fan of mine and eventually sold it. I found it worked best with 4x ERML & 2x UAC5 with 6 tons of ammo and 2 JJs. Then it was either an XL 225 & 4 DHS or an XL 275.

HBK-IIC-C - the one with only 1B per torso. You know, the bad HBK-IIC

Looks like they want to use the arms on the HBK-IIC-C variant, rather than copy a HBK-IIC build on to it.

PPC in CT, Gauss rifle on shoulder. 4 tons of ammo and jjets and you're good to go.

Whoops, misread the question.

No, no it really doesn't
2 SPLs or ERMLs is far superior to even 4 MGs.
I'd argue 6...but that might not be true

You shouldn't be wasting tonnage on MGs considering you are already short on ammo/speed with that build, that said, as McGral points out, more energy weapons are arguably better.

It's kind of decent once you practice well enough. This build is something even TBR runs.
