Yeah, nice mech ... but I really don't understand the logic why refitted industrial mechs have much better hardpoint placement than Mechs designed to be BattleMechs from the very beginning ...

That would be like a refitted toyota prius would win against an formula racing car.

It's because BattleMechs aren't designed by tactical experts or engineers but by random artists that are looking to showcase cool robot poses in technical readouts.

IndustrialMechs on the other hand are designed by engineers that think they are tactical experts but couldn't get security clearance in the military so they signed up with construction companies instead.

That's uncomfortably close to RL.

On looks alone, this mech is tempting. My Thunderbolts have always felt plenty fast and agile even running STD engines, so I would expect (hope) this guy is the same. Of course my Bolts carry lighter energy weapons. In June, it will be prime for a LFE making it even better for all builds.

I agree with Bishop, though, I would really like to see more angled shots on tat cockpit area. In some of those pics it looked too flat.

I will wait a bit longer and see.

Well I'm looking forward to giving this a test drive.... doesn't look like I'll be scrimping on leg armour... but if that ends up being my only complaint I'll be a happy mech pilot!

I think it'll be fine in the leg department. How many people drop leg armor on 65 tonners by more than 5-8 points anyway? 52, 55, and 57 are the magic leg numbers for getting stuff to fit onto a 65 ton 'Mech, and if you're dropping more than that I think you're taking an awful risk in general.
