PGI did a great job making Grim Plexus, a version of Grim Portico for Skirmish. But there are three Faction Play siege-only maps that look great but there is nothing like them in regular matches: Emerald Taiga, Hellebore Springs and Vitric Forge. All three of these have unique features that would be great to see in regular games!
Who would like to see the next map released be based off of one of these? PGI already has a worldspace and palette to work with, they would only have to edit the map to fit normal matches.
Going by what Grim Plexus did for Grim Portico, and the major differences between Boreal Vault/Alpine Peaks and Sulfurous Rift/Caustic Valley, the skirmish variants on these maps could have their own twists in terms of gameplay. For example:
Endless Taiga:
Huge cold map with large numbers of conifer trees. Trees not as colossal as Forest Colony, but many are still be up to 75 meters tall and big enough to not be knocked over by moving mechs and cannon blasts. A ring of large mountains approximately equal in size around the center of the map, and an outer ring of even taller mountains. The mountains have snow at the peaks, while the lower terrain has vivid orange and green vegetation. Several creekbeds, dried up in autumn, run through the valleys. Controlling the high ground and flanking are important on this map.
Hellebore Heath:
Variant on Hellebore Springs. A large temperate map, contains the same orange-brown box canyons at one end, which slope down toward the center with vast fields and rolling hills of purple flowers and end in a deep bog. The bog is covered in large trees and is hard to both see in and out of, and the water is deeper and murkier than in Viridian Bog: mechs must move at half speed through it. The bog flows into a marshy river at the far end of the map, where there are several ranch-style houses, livestock corrals and power generators, belonging to this earth-like planet's denizens. The fields provide large fire lanes and little cover, but also no impediment to movement, while the canyons and bog give cover at the expense of visibility and mobility.
Vitric Abyss:
Underneath the blue supergiant of Vitric Forge, this hot map consists of several spires, scorched crimson and black rock, with little cover at the top except for craters. However, beneath the spires are several levels of intertwining caverns and perilous rock bridges, that go down and down a kilometer or more. At the bottom is a shadowy plain of scorching dust and the bases of the giant rock spires. Combat and movement on this map is vertical as well as horizontal, and MechWarriors must be careful that their mechs not fall and break their legs! In addition, the heat is extreme, except within the caverns. Piloting on this map requires the use of many unusual factors, and favors mechs with powerful jump jets and short range weapons.
Do any of these ideas reach out to you? What kind of quick play map would you like to see based on a siege map?

Would definitely like to see some more maps based on these other tile sets.
I would also like to throw in there that we only have the one lunar map with HPG and Mining colony is a bit on it's own.
Tourmaline desert is reasonably similar to Hellebore and Canyon network.
