Would love having a similar AI voice as in Crysis. When I move ECM to disrupt; "Cloak engaged". I'd throw all the monies for it.

A replay function.

I want to rewatch matches from different perspectives and camera angles, not just a video from my own cockpit view.

1 MC per stored and publicly hostable replay or something like that.

1. New maps, it's been some time since we got an all new map. We did get Terra redux but that's not quite the same. When the map people are done setting up Incursion a all new map or a new map that recycles terrain would work. (Example, QP version of FP maps and vice versa)
2. Custom Cosmetic Geometry, allow us to purchase custom geometry for our mechs that does not change hit boxes. Different shoulders, spike ball instead of a hand, new face, etc.

3. Allow us to buy cockpit items that boost Cbills and/or XP. Don't just tack them onto the highest level of mech pack preorders

4. Customizable HUD. Offer options to customize the HUD such as colors, different reticles, etc for MC. (Of course something for colorblind people too) Yeah there are a lot of moving parts but perhaps things that don't affect those moving parts so much.

5. Sounds options. Sell alternatives to Betty, etc.

6: bring regimental parade colors - not the boring generic stuff - the real stuff
including unique decals already placed (Skye Jaeger; 388th Division, 40th ShadowDivision would be bought by me even before I can think about it)

7: bring a 4th color for trims and weapon barrels

8: the old suggestion to "hero" favorite Mechs (no cockpit items needed)

maybe weekend tournaments with prize money.

but you have to buy special premium time for it LOL

5 bux entry fee.

2 bucks go to the prize money rest to PGI

30 people sign up , win win

Customizable pilot avatar is an obvious one to add to the list.

These are all good suggestions, would require a fair bit of extra work for PGI in a few areas for say extra geometry, making new patterns, redoing patterns to add a new color channel, ect. But, these would be worth while. Customizeable hud is a must for colorblind players and just helps in general, just a simple RGB slider with brightness, all client side would be nice. Have Sound packs for money though, colors and locations of hud elements being adjustable (and scalable) should be free for the sake of just making things work for people.

Custom Geometry would be sweet, would love to swap around what crabs have which claws, the mismatch bugs me, plus I would love to pick which mechs of mine have custom patterns/geometries from preorders instead of it being forced onto just one.

Weekly tournaments where PGI gets like 10% of the prize pool is a nice chunk of change for them, I mean not huge but hopefully enough that most people don't whine about PGI price gouging or something. 2/5ths probably is the upper limit.

Customizable pilot avatar would be a great one, would be a fair bit of work for PGI, for something that we barely see but would really give a personal touch to the game currently lacking outside of slapping on a couple of decals to make a personal symbol or two on mech.

For the elephant in the room of for money maps. PGI has touched on this as have players a few times. PGI can not and Russ is pretty strongly against releasing for money map packs or doing fund raisers for MWO. He feels PGI has burned good will on previous fundraisers to do that method again (otherwise we could convince him to do a map pack crowdsource fundraiser drive) and for money map packs (unless done via like the MWOWC prize pool where PGI puts in an initial amount and the player base puts in more to boost how many maps we get out of it) won't happen since it would split the already small player base.

Haha no, Nvidia's even got some feature coming along that can allow rewatching by changing angles (in supported games only). Why reinvent the wheel?

New maps will never cost money, it splits up playbases into separate queues and they don't have the population to do that (also it's just plain wrong).

Don't misunderstand. New maps would be an indirect source of income

Give me the option to pay 50 MC to save the mech's configuration in mechlab so i can get back to it in one mouse click. Easy to implement, total time saver for people with few chassis and lots of ideas.

And different cockpit voices? I would pay to have all of Betty's dialogue read by Peter Cullen instead. (Says the guy with "Prime" in his name...). =P

I'd like to see the mech camo system updated to give us finer control over patterns and colors. In particular, I want a system that allows us to customize each component, i.e. torso, arms, legs, independently with their own color channels. This gives the players more incentive to customize their mechs and more ways to sink MC through true microtransactions.

Counterintuitively, I think this actually makes it easier for PGI in the long term. As it stands, their camo effort is exponential since each new chassis has to be retrofitted with every existing pattern -- the net result appears to be a halt in development of new patterns. With the modular system I am proposing, PGI would only need to develop a handful of patterns, since the combinations are what would create variety.

I like it, but it would require them to modify the game engine. As it currently stands, all the patterns are preloaded in your game install, and they only pass info on which 3 colors are used in what order. They'd have to add a routine as the drop loads up to query each mech for its unique camo design. Now they kind of do that with decals now, but this would be more data on each mech.

Doable, cool, but a non-trivial investment of man-hours.

-An idea that I have heard from others is a token that can be purchased and used to make any Mech variant that you want into a Hero of your own making with a 30% C-Bill bonus.

-Get the rest of the Clan decals into the game. Easy money.

-Give me my own Technician to work through to customize my Mech and fill out my Skill tree. I will hire him/her with cash or MC.

-more camo skins. I would buy one that is similar to the Lacerator for all my Mechs.

-add a 2v2 and a FFA mode to Solaris to draw in more participants there. Continue the Premium time to access.

Yes, seconded the "make your own Hero" upgrade. Someone suggested that a year or three ago and I've always wished they'd implement it.

i think what really needs to happen is to rethink custom games. to the point where they can completely replace quick play. why vote for the map you want when you can just join the 'polar highlands 24/7 stock' game or the 'terra therma flamers and ppcs only' game. you play what you want to play instead of what the game tells you to play.

first you need a lobby browser to find what games are forming and select a match to join. you also need more options as far as the custom games go, maps, modes, time of day (maybe also length of day), environmental conditions. ability to filter certain players based on tier or loadouts. ability to use single mech, a drop deck, or unlimited respawn. also more controls over the various modes, size of the circle in conquest, resource capture limits in conquest, etc.

you also need to make premium content available on a free limited use model. any game that is not premium should be free to host/join. the rest cost tokens or whatever. every day you get a dozen free tokens, an 8v8 for example might cost 1 token, a 4v4 miht cost 2, and a 1v1 in the steiner map might cost 4. longer games might cost an extra token. you are allocating a server so game length and player count would be the main cost deciding factors.

you receive new tokens every day but they dont carry over. if you are running premium time you have unlimited tokens. you might also be able to buy passes to give you x extra tokens a day for y days (a lower price point alternative to premium time), or buy blocks of extra tokens with mc (daily free tokens are used first). this would help to fund things like maps and game modes. people voting with their wallet should have more options to vote for. if pgi sees a lot of people are buying tokens so they can play 1v1, they might fund additional small maps or add some server capacity.

I am all for the fluff items, cosmetics, and such forth to dress my mech up. But those are here and there transactions that would fluctuate per quarter/month making revenue a bit harder to predict and structure uses for ( keep them micro transactions can be bonus $ to do extra with in the business aspect ) The way i could see the most PGI beneficial and player rewarded would be to add to or restructure what Premium Time will get you ( either by making a premium time package include a item that will give X amount of matches additional rewards...cache, or a custom dek-al each month, ability to pilot any C-bill mech stock instead of the limited trial mechs). This would give them a more solid idea of how many players will be buying this on a regular basis, helping to set budgets. I would say that doing this would be only with a new purchase of a premium time pack and not the banked time ( that still gets it bonus that always carried over, maybe the pilot any mech if unable to separate the coding << not a programmer)

Since not in place yet so only a speculation suggestion but also allow premium to help with re-spec a mech in the new skill tree

Mind as well add custom voice packs for when you use the command wheel.

Per say, one with a thick Spaniard accent, or maybe a British Accent for "Target Spotted".

I'd also like to, in a way, take a page out of the CS:GO Trade up contract page and apply it to MWO, the formula would go like this:

- 500-1000 MC depending on the mech chassis and tonnage

- 2-4 Mechs of the same chassis or tonnage (cannot be Clan mixed with IS mechs)

-2 Engines, one from STD, one from XL

From here, they all go into a shipping sheet where the items are consumed, and in return, a Hero or Champion Variant of the chassis traded in for or tonnage is given in return, along with at times better Engines than the ones put in, and one of your mechs that you traded in.

The incentive here is to Drive players towards a new way of spending MC; to get the chance for unique mechs that would otherwise break their bank easily.

Custom Geo and sounds are the most practical and potentially profitable. For custom geos they could give mechs 'classic' versions. Like the bubble cockpit on the Battlemaster. Or fit a theme, like the St Ives Blues and the urbie hero.

Honestly more unique or interesting camos would also be nice. Most of the existing camos are just bland and boring, if I could put hero camos on all my variants, or the special camos (like the Supernova collector edition camo) I would put them across my mechs in a heartbeat. Honestly I wish they would stop wasting time adding things like razzle, mountainline, or raider to every mech and focus on more interesting ones even if they are unique to the chassis.

This topic comes around every few months it seems, or at least it has since I started following the forums two years ago. In that time PGI has not taken any of the community proposed ideas and done anything with them. Decals were proposed as early as 2012 so those finally came, but I don't think anything else. Oh well.

In furtherance of the futility here are my usual and unusual ideas:

Id pay for the oft requested lore based weapons with unique geometries (e.g. giant sunglow laser for Thunderbolt arm, etc.). A premium cosmetic akin to decals (weapon performance does not change, just looks different then default).

Still images that can be applied (like a decal) to the useless cockpit monitors. Pay a fee for each one available on each mech. Let players upload images or even have selection provided by PGI (again this would effectively be decals but for application in your CP).

I'd pay even more for truly custom paint/camo...if I want a Buccaneer pattern but want to modify it, I should be able to do that.

I'd pay significant cash for access to the map generator for creating presumably crude but custom maps for private matches.

I'd pay for early access/previews for what is coming down the pipe...of course this would invovle PGI sharing news about what is really coming, and having that feature in some semblance of functionality well before it is ready to go live and would also require some effort on their part to build up excitement...oh never mind.

I'd be willing to pay a premium for access to a portal that lets the community provide planet descriptions for use in FP, and/ or create text boxes of a limited word count to provide mech and equipment descriptions (yes, I'm offering to pay PGI to let me do their job, I know others would too).

I'd pay immense, huge...biggly amounts of cold, hard cash, for thematically linked maps in FP or any other aspect of game design that provides even a passing attempt at providing an immersive game play experience by way of a subscription, premium fee or even a god damn patreon link wherein you say "see Bud, we made something immersive, now pay up".

I'd drop as much as I have since I started playing...right now, all at once...if PGI could give me a reason to believe that what I might buy today won't be turned to crap next month, or in six months. I'd double that amount if they could give some guarantee that they will stop nerffing bad to middling mechs while the best remain untouched....and I'd triple it if they gave my god damn Quickdraws their god damn quirks back!

My.
I didn't intend for this to become a rant.
So...
How's about we forget all of that and you just let us buy some custom camo that lets me make a mech look old and beat up (like a resistance mech but worse) or is that too much to ask?

Custom mechlabs would have to be the most efficient money-maker they could produce.

More personally, I would still pay $50 to get the old pre-dynamic geometry forearms for the Trebuchet. They wouldn't even need to have paint channels, just grey is fine.

I would purchase the Kintaro hero if whoever was in charge of weapon placement had any clue at all about aesthetics.
