Pushed for what? That no new omni-pods should be introduced that brings anything new to the game? Do you truly believe that these pods equal Pay to Win? If so, does that mean that you would take a build based on one of these omni-pods into a "must win" game like a comp game over what is currently available free? If that is the case then I would love to know what that build would be because I frankly cannot see enough of an advantage from any of them to make them worthy of replacing the present top Mechs.

If you mean you have been pushing for them to be available for C-Bills or MC eventually then I am in agreement. I believe they should too. After an appropriate amount of time has passed so PGI can finance the game. My only issue with all this BS is using P2W as a rallying cry to incite the mob.

Didn't you get these because you were in the MWOWC and you got a code to get them free?

That's part of the problem with PUG life

You never know what matchmaker is gonna give you. Scorch on polar with nothing but lrm teammates and suicide rush lights = gg

At least in a mid/long range mech you have a good alpha up close, and can do something for yourself

Well thats why it should have a negative quirk. If the +1E side torso came with a negative quirk that reduced its mobility it wouldnt necessarily be pay2win anymore. It would just be pay2sidegrade, which is far more acceptable I feel.

Again its why we need negative quirks. And all the crybabies that made PGI remove negative quirks need to realize that negative quirks have their uses. This is a legit use of them: to balance out omnipods that are too good. Not all omnipods are created equal, some will be better, or worse, and both negative and positive quirks should be used to roughly balance them out.

its fine for hero mechs to do one or two specific things better than cbill mechs as long as they have negative quirks/drawbacks that balance them out and prevent them from being outright better than cbill mechs. as long as theyre sidegrades rather than upgrades its not pay2win.

this is exactly the illogical irrational fear of negative quirks that im talking about.

again the best way to balance out the 2E hero side torso vs the normal 1E cbill torso is to give the 2E torso a negative mobility quirk that balances out the fact it has an extra energy hardpoint.

Do I think these will be top meta mechs with these pods? Probably not, the brawl meta is pretty serious right now for 6v6 though so you never quite know with that Gargoyle.

Lol, says the guy who wants Clans to be superior to IS in every way. Zero credibility.

Quirks should all be gone, PGI doesnt like negative quirks, look at the howling that happened when the TBR and SCR got them, took a whille but they removed them, except for a few small ones here and there.

Sorry, but even the pre-orders being "necessary" for people to buy them is BS. I don't buy the packs because I get to play with them earlier than other people and I highly doubt I'm alone on that.

That was still probably a Bracket Build (GASP!) of Dual Gauss and SRM24+A


Swap those for ATMs, and it gains some mid range capabilities
