That's both in the "real" professional gaming scene and in "real life" professional sports (or anything, for that matter), where it also happens that people actually get paid real money to afford to do real things with them.
It sounds like I touched a raw nerve. So tell me, just what is so "comp" and "pro" about MWO?

You amaze yet again with your wicked logical skillz. I've never mentioned or hinted anything regarding competitive players, casual players or even myself willing / not willing to open a wallet. Maybe try to read the topic again instead of making random comments after you saw one word that triggers your "nerve"? As they say, the tounge ever turns to the ailing tooth. Sadly for you this discussion have nothing to do with your particular itching tooth.
As for what is so competitive in MWO, then its the same thing as in every other competitive scene - best representatives of said scene measuring their strength against each other. The size of such comptitive scene, its popularity or lack thereof, real money prizes/salaries or lack thereof do not increase/diminish its value to everyone who participate and/or watch it in any possible way. Same goes by the way for petty little spiteful comments coming from supposed representatives of other "real" "professional" competitive scenes. But hey, keep trying ...
