There are plenty of forum threads asking about a single player experience. PGI is focused on MW5 as the single player game which makes sense.
There could be a simple single player mode that allows you to use a Drop Deck to accomplish a goal for Faction points (say the same as a scouting mission). This could be implemented with stationary mechs like in the Battle Zone.
Game modes could be:
-Get into a base, destroy a piece of equipment
-Capture the flag (gather intelligence), grab flag and return it to drop ship
-Capture the data points (that are used on Escort and Scouting)
It would be a great way to test out builds, drop decks, and earn points for your faction. If you succeed you could be rewarded also with a supply cache that would help generate revenue for PGI.
The difficulty could scale with your tier rating. So tier 5 would be easier of course than tier 1.
Thank you for your time!

Ideas and possibilities are not the problem - it's time, resources and the cost/benefit ratio.
These sorts of ideas go into the "nice to have" pile (as opposed to the round file), and would only be acted upon after the "absolutely essential", and "should have" piles have been exhausted.
Whereas we can discuss what goes in each pile (and I'm not going to do that here), grim reality demands that for every game, at some point in development (even before shipping), every feature added means another one won't get implemented.
You're right that MW5 will be the place to get these kinds of experiences.
