Whee, I've just covered 90% of my matches for the last week.
I'm TIRED of this crap rotation.
I see all these old posts about how random was bad, no but more maps is better but, ...
Truth is we don't really have but 4-5 maps, with the odd extra thrown in on rare occasions
I've literally got 2x the number of matches on some maps.
Even though some of the lower numbers have been around much longer.

Sadly not all maps work for all game modes. However I support your request for new maps

I wish they updated all of the maps to work with escort, then we would get the full rotation back.
I also hope that we get at least 3 to 4 new maps this year. I would be cool with 1 a quarter at this point. As much as I like some maps the lack of options hurts the game.
I really think this game should have about 20 quick play maps and at least 10 faction play maps.
I think a "city center" map, which is as big as polar highlands but is all thick and heavy urban area still needs to be a thing (without a ton of open spaces and without a "central feature""
I also think that an actual mine/quarry style map that has narrow tunnels, large open chambers and multi level play should be a thing.
and a large mountainous map covered in forests an such would be great too, they could literally just use the front part of Emerald Taiga.....
I mean that's three right there....they only need 6 to hit 20 maps.
I'm also, all for a rotation of seasonal maps or at least seasonal reskins.
viridian bog around Halloween, has giant rib cages and bones instead of the giant crustacean shells and legs, is all foggy, dark, and has little lantern or bonfires through out.
caustic valley is all green and verdant with tress on earth day.
crimson straight has fire works and such on the 4th of July and new years

A great start would be to bring back the original 'reworked' maps into the game as follows:
1. PGI SHOULD add all those original maps back into rotation for quickplay. The reworked maps bear little to no resemblance to the originals and for the most part, have totally different gameplay styles than their successors. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH A BRAWLY MAP WHERE YOU GO IN HOT AND DIE QUICKLY. Stop whining about it.. whining caused PGI to trash these perfectly fine maps. STOP WHINING AND EITHER BUILD YOUR MECHS TO BE MORE VERSATILE, OR UTILIZE YOUR WEAPONS AT THEIR MOST ADVANTAGEOUS (ie. don't frontline it in a hot laser boat, and if your short range brawl.. find another short range brawler and move up to the front TOGETHER).
2. Add the larger, original maps such as Terra Therma 1.0, Frozen City 1.0 and River City 1.0 (man I miss R.C. 1.0) into the scouting rotation.
3. PGI SHOULD add all the smaller original maps like Forest Colony 1.0 and Frozen City 1.0 into the lobby arena maps.
It makes zero sense not to utilize assets that are already finished. Especially with a company that is so short-handed as far as man-power goes. Just get it done already. We want to spend money on the game but your making it so difficult.
PS. Your suggestions Wendigo about fireworks and a fertile caustic vale are all great, but the timing is off... what you're suggesting is putting the icing on a yet unbacked cake.
