Yeah, the whole 10kph sprint on foot will be a real treat when a Dire Wolf runs you down and flattens you.

At least that would put the fear back into the stock Urbie players.

When Bloodpuppy posts does Russ' fingers move?

how are you not banned. you come posting 15 days after I post and all you contribute is a troll post?

MWO mods can't even deal with trolls. I have less and less faith that they actually do anything other than lock topics that discuss moderation these days.

are people just proud to be trolls on the internet these days? is it a cool thing now, I am gonna pretend he is a kid or something and is not respectable anywhere.

Until I use that ginormous landing pad on his back .
Also : Elementals are not your average standard infantry man weighed down by equipment . Their equipment makes them fast, resilient and highly dangerous .
Play MW:LL (if you haven´t done so already) then tell me how fun it is to stand up against good Elemental players .
I found them quite challenging, except I was in an AA tank (Huitziloplochtli FTW), an ASF or an Elemental myself .

I know a thing or two about project management.

This is mismanagement on one too many levels, even BEFORE MW5's development.

Aye. I have been saying for years that resource and hiring management has be less than stellar under PGI.

Additionally PGI has not doubled in size. I think the main fact to grasp here is there are development resources being pressed into MW5. AFAIK those resources are funded by MWOs revenue, as MW5 is not crowdfunded and is probably self published in the end. The money isn't coming out of thin air.

Normally a dev group (or any business) attempts to grow in size, to cover the obvious fact of success, but this means most of the money spent should go back into the product/business.

The thing is that there is "no growth" that there has been zero attempts to expand... this means "staying content" with what you have, yet committing to developing two pieces of software and not one... which means something has to suffer.

With the glacial pace of this game, it looks no different than the previous year...

Your talking to a guy getting his Major in computer engineering. Of course you know me through the internet right? dude, your hilarious.

anyways as far as managing resources for completing task whether its maps, or mechs or any new features. I am pretty sure they have the men they need. When it comes to the new game, the only people that may be moved are the veterans to help with the new project with a fresh team. Russ said that they did indeed grow and had new hands.

I don't pretend to know as these MW5 conspiracy guys that think PGI is hording everyone to the new project, and MWO is just stripped of all development. Thats not how it works. These guys probably believe in big foot as well.

I just expect that it's going to be done this year. The only real thing I care about are the Special events

No, he was talking to someone who has shown, over and over, that DESPITE his "major" he has no clue. Ever notice how it's always everyone ELSE who is wrong, or is an issue? Ever think that some of that MIGHT be caused closer to home?

Of COURSE you didn't...

Why cant people have different opinions from a majority? Democracy does not apply to peoples thoughts and opinions. Used to be people could have different sides of a civil debate. Now its "everyone who agrees with me raise your hand, look your wrong." Democracy doesnt work like that, and judging someone as dumb just because a majority says hes wrong doesnt actually make it wrong. Yall have to resort to personal attacks. Both sides make valid arguements, both sides are different. None of us knows **** about the behind the seens, so why all this hate when neither side knows for 100% sure exactly what the **** its talking about.

Yall are bunch of man-babies.

Difference of opinion is one thing. All for it, promotes good discussion.

However when things boil down the what is fact/true and then being presented with said fact as a part of a discussion, you can no disagree/continue with that line of discussion. Which is then when it just turns into derailment/attacks.
OR
If you are asked to supply evidence of what you are claiming as part of a discussion, and fail to do so, again you can no longer continue participating. Same thing then happens (derailment/off topic rambling).

Happens time and time again

MWO is without a doubt suffering due to MW5. Have a look at how much more has not been delivered in the past 12 months to previous 12 month cycles. Also of key note - what has been so poorly designed it's had to be abandoned... Both of those are very good indicators of two things:

1. Poor leadership at the architecture/design level.
2. Rushing / Lack of proper planning - Usually resource related, or the resources don't understand the scope correctly, if at all.

The past 12 months has seen:
- Energy Draw
- FP 4.2 delayed indefinitely
- Skill Tree - IMO possibly the worst designed piece of junk I've ever seen in a game
-
FP 4.1 took 3 or was it 4 months longer than it was intended and was NOT what was discussed at the Round Table.
- No new maps. Just rehashing of old ones
- Borked AC/UAC nerf - IMO getting it totally wrong to nerf one mech
- FP3 - The absolute disgrace of a patch was, and the 9 months to address even part of it.
- The great rescaling - which broke basically every IS light

It's not been a great 12 months at all. Lots of the decisions/choices make no sense to the majority of the player base in most instances.
