Let me start out by saying this is not a performance issue or ping on my side as my rig is sick and my internet parts seas, ok some hyperbole used but seriously i'm good in these departments. I use only north american servers but that really is pointless when people from the other side of the planet join them and ruin it for everyone else. The rubberbanding and other players pings are just disgusting. The community seems to have given up and just accept this but I'd love to raise this issue and bring it to the attention of whoever. Maybe have it so players can only play in their actual region for christ sake. If it does not bother you, good for you but it is getting old for me. Especially in a brawl or trying to kill a locust....

Sorry that people from around the world that want to play the game like everyone else ruins your experience.
Maybe try to find a single player game, so you won't have to deal with rubberbanding from other people.

Locking people in their respective regions will increase wait time and worsen MM. I play MWO about 1-2 hours a day and I do not see significant lag or rubberbanding that often to complain about. As for high ping Lights, yeah they are annoying, but they are rarely seen.

the only reason i turn on all the servers is to keep the wait times to tolerable levels. of course then you get all the na players showing up on the oceanic servers without a single person actually living in that area. what if the game queries everyone's ping times and selects a server that makes the overall ping time (sum for all players) the smallest. the only time i actually switch off a server is when the ping times there are outrageous, like i was getting like 2 seconds of ping on eu because of a router outage somewhere between here and there and had to switch it off to make the game playable.

I've always wondered about this 'problem' these people experience. My mates and I (from asia) play on NA servers as well as oceanic to lessen queue times. We average 220-240 ms on NA, but have rarely ever seen any instances of rubber banding. Sure, shoddy hitreg on lights now n then, but rarely any jumping around. When NA players pop into the oceanic server, their ping look similar to what we have to NA and again, we rarely see anyone really jump around. Of course when someone's ISP mucks up and you see a ping of 600-3000 then ya he might be moonwalking quite a bit, but rest assured, he's likely to experience 23 other players moonwalk ing or jumping around too

Honestly this is among the MMOFPS with best connect I played, connecting from Asia to NA gives me stable 230+ PING and the HSR does a pretty good job.
Heck I cant even get stable performance on Overwatch from Blizzard.

We can deprive many people
Or we can deprive you.
If a business decision based on selecting one of these two options must be made, one of them is a clear winner.

The only rubberbanding I see it when somebody tries to jumpjet through another mech. That consistently causes rubberbanding, nearly 100% of the time.
It's also very rare that somebody ends up doing it.
And so is rubberbanding in general. I play on all three servers, and I almost never notice rubberbanding, nor do I notice hit registration issues. I guess I'm playing a different MWO from everybody else or something.

Ask for NA-West (Coast) servers.
One of the problems with having "NA servers" that is strictly East Coast, is that if it was ever decided again like in the previous MWOWC that Oceanic players COULD NOT play on the Oceanic server for private lobbies... the next best thing is to set them closer to the US from the West Coast.
It's not like the NA-server is in the Central part of NA either, which is a different aspect/issue, but it seems kinda borked that NA server support isn't even covering both coasts. IIRC, the NA server is in the eastern part of Canada (I forget where.. probably Montreal or Toronto).
I strictly NEVER play on the Oceanic servers due to lag damage delays (feels like I was playing in the 56k era).

I sorry you feel that way.
So lag happens. DEAL WITH IT.
Meanwhile back to our rubberbanding program and killing Mechs. This has not been a public service announcement.
