Greetings MechWarriors. Today I have a simple question. How many of my fellow ForumWarriors continue to support the game through Mechpacks? If your wallet is closed right now, what mech would get you to re-open it?

Think this is self explanatory by now. The Rifleman IIC and the Warhammer IIC. I'll buy the entire hero package for the Rifleman IIC and the Warhammer IIC will most likely be gifted to a friend who loves the design.

Bought an Annihilator pack, will buy a Fanfir one, and a longbow one too. Maybe another that is a good small. Only the base pack though because money is limited.

A pack with banked premium time, not "play this long everyday to get the most out of it" active time.

I want more weapons, 8v8 modes, 1v1s, better teams/matchmaking, skill trees out already, full module cbill refunds.

Basically I want July to be here already, I have no need of more mechs, just more to do with the mechs I have. Maybe after I get that I'll be a bit more open with my spending of money.

Kind of. I dont buy heavies so yeah i dont buy much. I almost convinced myself to get an ASN pack today but its still on the shelf. If it was the price of a light the collector edition would be mine at 30$, instead none arfe mine right now. Its pretty limited with what the mech can do and not 40$ worth. Assault cost 40$ ffs. A strong or beautiful assault is an easy choice though.

Im still pissed the preorder phase last 4 months+
Im still pissed it takes 4 months+ to release something for cbills.

TBH, there are still many Mechs I would buy. However my needs concerning medium Mechs are almost satisfied. Only the Lynx, the Men Shen, and perhaps the Lightray would attract my attention. (And Gauntlet, but that is going into the DA).
Regarding the other weight classes, I still have too many favourites for PGI to release. Unfortunately many of these favourites are dark horses as far as the "everything from MW:4 is soooooo super-mega-iconic"-crowd is concerned: Nightstar, Excalibur, Mongooose and many more.

I'm always inclined to buy mechpacks if the mech seems to suite my taste. An absolute no-go for me is reinforcements variants which exclusively include ECM or particularly strong mechs. I already opted out of several packs which I would have gladly bought if not for certain reinforcement variants. The recent removal of the premium time on standard packs also made it much harder for me to invest into mechs.

E.g. the Cougar would have been a no-brainer for me if not for the fact that the only ECM variant is hidden in the reinforcements.

I prefered the old packs with 1 mech of each weight class. The value of these packs was just so much better. And we got more light mech releases that way, the Javelin and the Cougar are the only releases amidst dozens of Heavies and Assaults, iirc.

My brother is getting the Annhilator and he's gifting me the Uziel for my birthday. I'm considering upgrading that to include the hero mech as well.

I have been buying mechs packs again (since ED got canned)... but I'm reconsidering if the $20 packs wont have prem time going forward.

Edit: initally this didn't bother me, but the more I grind for new tech savings, grind for new mechs/engines etc... the less happy I am about the loss of prem time for the $20 packs. (I may upgrade a pack if I like it, post release or pre if the details are encouraging... but if prem time isn't there anymore then I'm less likely to get $20 in the first place... and it irks me to not to get the pre order bling (if I spend real money)! So I don't do it.

I just dont see as much value for the mech packs since premium time was removed, seems a little bit on the steep side for my tastes.

Cheapskates like me are more likely to fork over real coin if mech packs were more of a bargain. Oh I don't know may be something like let's say having banked premium time added might get some of those tight fisted, miserly, penny pinching, bargain hunting, ect. ect. cheapskates to open our piggy banks and buy more packs, just an idea probably knot a new one.

Will drop if the pack have interesting mechs in it but even then with leak of Star Wars Battlefront 2 I may save up for the ultimate pre order. I may be waiting for cbills for a while.

i dont think the mech packs are going to be worth it without the premium time. basic pack is just for bragging rights on launch day. colors, dekkles, and other vanity items are kind of meh.
