For me it's a mech by mech basis.

The Archer has taught me to not blindly buy the collectors.

Men Shen, Anvil, Rifleman IIC & ???

Would be an easier choice if the basic packs had more value after their premium time was removed without its value being returned.

It depends but I am ok with paying about 10 USD per mech so long as I get extra things to go along with it. Sadly though PGI has in the past two or three years just riddled off so many mech packs that the constant opening of my wallet has slowed drastically to maybe once or twice a year. With the removal of premium time as well from mech packs has also a little to do with the reasoning for my slow opening wallet.

As for a mech I would instantly open it up for, there isn't any unless they introduce melee into the game and then I would open it for substantial list: Axe Man Hachetman Charger ...

I've been playing this game for over a year. Originally i spent ~$450 in the first 6 months. My wallet was closed due to stagnation and terrible decisions in gameplay. Since PGI will breathe new life into the game in the up coming months i've purchased an IS hero, Annihilator and Javelin. My wallet will now remain closed until premium time is put back into the standard packs for mechs better be 30 days as well.

Greetings MechWarriors. Today I have a simple question. How many of my fellow ForumWarriors continue to support the game through Mechpacks? If your wallet is closed right now, what mech would get you to re-open it?

Mech packs will not get me to reopen my wallet.

Other content might.

right...like the content that has been released since the last time you said that. So nothing really is going to get you to open your wallet(not like we can see your bank transactions). At least be honest

I don't want mech packs. I want them to fix what's already in the game first.

Bought the Standard Pack for the Uziel, cougar and Mad Cat MK II. May upgrade to Collector's, add Heroes and/or Reinforcements if the Skill Tree is to my liking.

Resistance and Clan II Heroes are pending Skill Tree changes.

Before that, it was the Supernova.

Looking forward to the Bushwacker and Roughneck for C-Bills.

For most mechpacks i bought so far, the included premium time sealed the deal. Without that i doubt that i will see enough value in future packs. Maybe if they bring a really good or interesting light/medium mech (my favorite classes) for 10 bucks or so i might be tempted even without added premium, but 20$+ is probably not good enough for me...

I have a harder time justifying buying mechpacks now that they dont come with a month of premium time

What content? I didnt play for like 9 months or so and the game was exactly the same when i came back other than CW being even worse than before!

Looking at their roadmap, it reads to me that they are intending to do jack all for the rest of the year other than release more mechs (oh and some new weapons, so that they can sell those mechs. big whoop)

They are literally the laziest development studio I have ever come across, and dont really deserve any more money from me at this time.

Haven't purchased anything since April of 2016. So yeah, wallet closed. What would get me to reopen?
Get me excited about your product and I will spend money on it.

A good way to do that would be via open dialog with the devs.
Seriously.
Them making an effort to help me understand what it is they are trying to do with the game and how they seek to accomplish those goals, might actually help give me some faith that they do actually know what they are doing and thus give me reason to support them.

If they don't feel it of use to explain themselves, then maybe if they stopped nerffing bad mechs and gave me a reason to care about CW that might help too.

Exactly what content is well deserving of this?

Escort has problems, but also totally affects map selection... apparently in favor of Crimson.

Domination still has problems, particularly on Crimson Strait (ironically) and Alpine.

The quality of the "content" needs to be higher than "minimally viable".

Not even considering spending money until PGI proves that the Skill Tree was indeed just pulled for rework of compensation and other clunkiness.

Still buy what interests me, but that's a lower % than it was due to saturation and proliferation.

Depends on the mech really...

I take appearance (it's gotta look good), add-ons to the package (decals, colors, cammo, stuff like that) have to be somewhat enticing and it's got to be a class that I play or am inclined to play (I will be hard-pressed to buy any Mediums, but I will be likely to buy Heavies and Assaults, for example).

Case in point; since I came to grips with my disappointment in MWO as a general thing, I have only picked up the Marauder IIc, Supernova and Roughneck packs (all Heavy/Assault). Out of the Civil War packs, I got the Uziel, (despite it being a Medium, it looks like it may fit my play-style when it comes to running Lights), Cougar (I like the Adder, always have) and the Mad Cat MKII. I passed on the Annihilator despite it being an Assault because it looks stupid as f**k to me, and I already have several 100 Ton assaults that I enjoy.

They have no value because you can't trade them.
