Wow, i did NOT expect PGI to handle it this way.

It's very much appreciated.

This is incredibly well done, PGI.

I was most invested in the IFR change and you did something I hadn't thought of but really, really like. Bravo.

But again the best variant of a chassis will be the non-canon variant. That makes me sad. =[

I would have preferred they kept it in the ST, and ditto on the IFR-P. But eh... they fixed the pay-2-optimise problem, so I'll shut up now.

The executioner and the shadowcat really didnt need that nerf in any capacity, the pods were potent but nowhere near overpowered and actually gave these two mechs new and fresh roles, other than ppc bomb / laserboat

the EXE especially :( i was really looking forward to the Spirit Bear Jr.

They're right useful, you know. I'll be using them anyway...

I prefer Airstrikes for my 40K. A lot of UAVs do not last for long.

* Shadow cat getting 1 extra M hardpoint diversified (the whole point of omnipods, and indeed Hero mechs) but really didn't break it (still outclassed in srming by other meds)
* exe needed love- but now its got free love, and isn't that the best kind? (that said, while I see reducing missiles from 6 to 4 is a good move, maybe one of the torso missiles could have been swapped for a energy hard point rather than being removed so 1m 1e RT-. Would not add too much in the way of firepower given the 7e RA, but would have supported missiles with high mounted tag option)
* MG options for clan lights, don't mind if I do (3 mg's replacing 2splas is not that broken in current weapon tech)

But hey PGI- offering money back to avoid pay to win scenario. Damn, that's a class move I did not expect.Well done.

I would 100% expect them to return my money if they changed the mech I thought I bought.

I guess the bar for PGI is set low.

Thwacker not "low" enough?

Although, PGI did a great job on the Bushwhacker, I never really liked the way that mech looks.

Well, that kinda made the new Clan heroes pointless for me to buy.
So, when do I get a UM-R60 with 8 ballistic hardpoints in the right arm to match the dakka of the new standard variant MLX?

i was really excited for the SHC hero, but with the new Nerfed RT i cant bring my self to get it,
i know why it was dont but i still dont agree it was needed when this mech already is so hard point starved,

A very good reaction.

That way the P2W-argument flies out of the window, weak chassis get new options and the heroes are still different.
Please stay that awesome.

So will all those who complained suddenly open their wallets? I hope so, if not then it'd show that pandering to certain elements who wouldn't buy your product anyway is a bad business decision as it alienates everyone else.

If the "RULE OF THREE" is going away, why make people buy three mech multipacks?

Because IT might not happen. Since it seems that the forum can dictate some of the games development it may not happen if some wish it to be.

Well played PGI - certainly exceeded my expectations.

I'm really looking foward to the new variants (more likely to grab a hero now too).

Simply because of this excellent posture, I will now go buy a third hero. *applause*

To be fair, most of the changes do make sense, but not all of them. Gargoyle and Executioner I have doubts about, but the Exe concerns have been covered already. A paywalled Hellbringer right arm may seem like no big deal now, but it may after the arrival of ATM, particularly for close range brawling. Ebon Jaguar's ballistic LT is also still paywalled, just like its arms which seemed much more dangerous to me. I do admire how the lights were handled, Mist Lynx really needed all the buffs it could get. But of all the underused and nerfed by design mechs out there...

Ice Ferret? Like, really? Am I missing something all of a sudden? What is wrong with having "an essential omnipod", pray tell? All Attic Cheaters, Sad Cats and Hellbringers out there run their ECM pods unless they are feeling suicidal, exactly how and why is Ice Ferret any different? And how in hell does the P2W excuse stand in the face of giving Hellbringer that very same essential 2E right torso that people cried the most about for cbills?!

Devil's advocate checking in.

If there are C-Bill alternatives, I can't afford to just be magnanimous and pay when I don't have to. While I definitely would not have found the cash for all the heroes, I may have found the cash for one or two of them. But now I really don't have to buy any of them. If this makes me look like a cheapskate, fine...that's just the way it is when hard choices must be made about luxuries.

I hope the numbers even out and the loss of revenue from people like me is offset by the gain from the new happy generous folks who wouldn't have paid but now say they will. After all, if this sales model works it's better for me.
