Gtx 1070 I7 7700 Not That Great Performance

I set the game for high and the performance is not what I expected. I get about 60fps when no combat is happening and about 25 - 45 when in middle of a firefight.
Vsync is off and blur is also off.
I now MW is cpu intensive, so my GPU does not weight that much, but I think the performance could be better.
Running windows 10 x64 creators update, fresh install, all updates made before using the game. Nvidea, bios and 1070 all latest drivers and firmware.
Any suggestions on how to boost the game to get at least solid 60fps count in high (have not tested ultra) ?

did you tried to set particles at low? if not, test it
if no change, set off damage glow
if no change, then set off anti-aliasing and test it
full screen mode is better too

1920 x 1080p 60hz, i play in full screen mode.
I went to windows and created a High Performance profile por power and set it as default.
Disable all the xbox game stuff (dvr, bar and so on).
I will do another test without changing anything inside the game yet. The whole ideia of playing the game in high is to have all the stuff working beautifully. It will be a shame if I have to low down things just to have 60fps - having a great machine and note be able to use it in the games you like to play is sad...

Got 52 fps most of the time during game, a single drop to 25 and another to 41 on each map.

My advanced graphics settings have been switched to low expect for, Object Detail, Texturing and Environment which are set to high.
Running Dx11, with Damage Glow on and V sync on.
I get between 80 and 140 fps on Grim Plexus.
Looks fine but I do get some LOD pop up, which I overcome by hiting mechs in the head which on most is CT

What i found worked for me is switching from DX11 to DX9 in the video settings (not in battle, because you cannot, remember to restart game aswell).
The overall FPS dropped a bit from 100+ to about 60-90 BUT i have no framdrops now to 1 like i got before. Try this put guys, it might help you.

Most motherboards use Realtek HD Audio, and the drivers can be quite out of date.
Mine for example were dated 2013, I recently updated to the 2017 driver and noticed that stalls due to sound effects were greatly reduced

Also, Intel non-K processors boost is limited to a single core (mentioned above) while K processors allow all 4 cores to boost to max frequency that you set.

You need to use all core all the time.
When you use bost, CPU use only one core and use another when that one have a problem.
Bost is sh%%it for MWO.
You can change it in setings. Use uncle google.
I have i3 CPU and have more FPS than you, but I use my CPU 100% all the time.

My cpu on boost mode use all 4 cores, they stay at 4000ghz all the time. Sometimes one of them goes to 4.2, than goes back to 4.
All my cores are in use, all the threads (8) are in use.
Is that 200hz diference in one core so problematic ?
Also, i believe I have enought power to everything... so seems odd that boost is creating the problem...

If you are crafty and have been through the BIOS before I'd suggest forcing 100mhz block, 40x CPU multiplier, and disable energy saving options. A couple watts won't make a difference on your energy bill. If all of that solves your problems, work backwards. HPET might help you, but I never noticed any difference with it on or off. Hope this helps.

If not: You can enable VSync in the game as well as the driver. If you stay at 60 fps no matter what, you're playing with VSync. If your fps drop to 30 when there's a lot of action, you're playing with double-buffering, so you only get 60 and whole-number divisions of that (60-30-20-15-12-10) and so on.
Also make sure, you did not turn on neither TXAA (since that costs some performance as well) nor DSR and are actually playing in a much higher resolution like UHD. The former is in the game, the latter in the drivers, as well as the Vsync options there.

Actually, I get numbers like 59, 45, 23, 18 now. When I look the skie no changes, still around 59. Dsr is off, vsync is off in the game and nvidea.
So I have not changed a thing and now I get around 45 to 56 in game, with drops to 31 when some actions in happening all round, my settings are on high, not even on ultra.
Strange. I am starting to think this is windows creator related. Other games also have performance issues (fps is lower than what should be).
GPU is going about 80% usage and cpu 56 to 60%, all cores used and al threads.
Not a clue what is going on...

So, when you cannot go over 59 Hz, then you have VSync turned on. When looking at the sky, even my 2nd PC which used a Pentium G4560 and a GTX 1050/2GB goes to the three-digit frames per second league.
Try the following: Switch Vsync in the Nvidia driver to "adaptive", press apply and switch it to off. If that does not help, maybe there's the Xbox DVR running in the background, capturing your gaming action and limiting your Fps to 60 in the process since it cannot go higher maybe?
Did you check whether or not you have Geforce Experience installed and there MAY be a profile for MWO active which supersedes the generic driver setting?

Thanks everyone who replied here, I took all your advices and they helped my to test and find out that at the end, the problem was an manufacturer app.
So, to anyone who has a probem in Win 10 with a Gigabyte mobo, that is the thing. Take all their apps out of your OS.
See you people in tyhe fight !
