But isn't it about time we got a new one? At this point I wouldn't care if the art is Western or Eastern, it'll be nice to see something decently animated.
Oh... and for the love of god, if we ever get a new cartoon if someone says "Information is ammunition" please follow it with a sniper round to the back of the skull.

I have always wanted to see what a Clan extended range particle projection cannon would do to an organic target. Personally.

Reminds me of the weapon shop in the Crescent Hawk's Inception starting area when looking at the Inferno missile as a personal weapon (which actually works, I used to carry them), it goes something like this.
"The shopkeeper tells you about its ability to overheat enemy mechs and force them to shut down. When you ask what it would do to a human target he shudders and turns away..."

Evidently based on a comic by the same artist. Or at least related to it.
Keep in mind its animations are more in keeping with the lore than the Mechwarrior series of more 'stiff' mechs.

It's older than dirt and has numerous flaws. So many that the companion book (which I'm reading now) goes into great detail about its inconsistencies, describing it in universe as propaganda. (It has a number of campaign missions in it to 'relive' the 'real' events in a simulator aka Tabletop, which I'll be indulging in soon and sharing.)
The story and even the acting 'could' be good if seen in their own light... But the animation bothers me in so many ways.
Though most terrifying, is how the mechs are very close to canonical sizes when people are outside of them (i.e. a HELL of a lot smaller than MWO's mechs)... but inside the cockpits sometimes look like huge rooms.

So far, this story though clearly censored in as many ways as possible... and even the voice acting could pass... but the animations are just so... Many of the motions are unnecessary attempts at adding more life to the characters and the end result -- since some repeat pointlessly -- actually makes them look more stiff and fake because of it.
And I haven't seen a single autocannon fire yet.

Shows in the mid 90s could do that...
What a pain. I was really hoping for it.
Explains G.I. Joe, though.
I miss when the Joker actually killed people.
Oh pay another visit to the hypothetical questions thread would you? o.o;
Been reading the 1st Sommerset Strikers companion book. One of the things it lists is lots more autocannon use.

I have been going to that thread, I do a lot of likes...
And it's not just 90's cartoons that got that treatment.... Even Gundam Seed got that treatment in the US...
Canadian airings of those shoes, on Canadian networks didn't get censored like that.

Figured there must be a mistake. So reading the companion...
A "Security Force Centurion" bursts through... blah blah and "Jumpjets."
Centurions.
Jumpjets.
Can my Centurion have jumpjets now?

That reminds me.
Playing Mechwarrior (not 3050, Mechwarrior) for the SNES...
My Locust was 23 tons to start and had jumpjets from the get go. I beefed it to 27 tons between raising the engine a little bit and adding some more jumpjets.

As a side note, here is a fan remake of the initial encounter on Somerset with the Jade Falcon forces. It is very well done...
