Freezes when I try to use it and pressing enter won't send messages.

My UI has frozen twice trying to bring up chat window.

Came here to say this. The current chat window is super-duper buggy. I'm getting up to a full like 30 - 45 secs of frozen game every time I open the chat window.

And it's not possible to chat while searching for a match.
Well, actually you can read the chat and you can write, but you can't press Enter and the window stays in the background (darkened).

The chat seems to bog down the longer the client is running. When you first log in, its fast and no problems, but once you drop your done.

I am having the same issue; after one game, the enter key no longer works in chat. I can type as much as I want but it will no longer post.

Chat window closes every time I go into a match which requires me to re-open every time. How is this any better than having the window always open and just clicking group button.

Having the same issues as other users in this thread, Doesn't acknowledge pressing enter to send, and becomes extremely slow after a few drops.

Best guess based on chat window performance so far is that when you first log in, the window is empty. After you've been logged in for awhile, the people who sit on Faction Chat all day long without ever playing have written a novel, and the window is trying to load every single post, which overloads its memory capacity and causes it to not bring any windows up at all (blue acknowledge button under message that says "you don't have any chat tabs going"), or take forever (upwards of a minute or two) to load the chat window.

I recommend being able to close the faction and clan chat tabs and be able to reopen them again, and I recommend there being a line dump at a pre-set distance up the chat. Say 100 or 200 lines back, the chat messages stop showing up, thus it doesn't have to load 1000 lines of text every time you open chat.

Being able to close the faction and clan/is chat tabs would also prevent getting a nearly perpetual chat notification message flashing at the bottom of your screen. It's particularly annoying if you ARE chatting with someone, and they haven't said anything.
