You have to understand folks, 1998 chat was on sale at the Chat Store.

Plus it uses code that someone, at some point, in PGI can understand.

it's actually nice. +.5 for pgi finally adding in something that's close to global chat I guess.

I'd be okay with it if it didn't make MWO crash to desktop. So yeah, I turned off faction chat.

It would be nice if it had timestamps and autocleared conversation every 1-2 hours to help resolve the memory leaks......

Pretty sure timestamps are nearly as old as the internet.

Would also be nice if you could use the chat while waiting for the matchmaker to find you a T1 match with 6 new players on your team.

LoL, i left it running for 6 hours, minimized it and tried to re maximize it, my PC hung for like 5 minutes.

I like corn. In fact, corn on the cob is my favorite food.

If you invite me to dinner, and you ask me what I would like to be served, I may say "I would like corn on the cob please, with a little salt pepper and butter. That would be delicious.

If you then drop a deuce on a plate, which does happen to contain some undigested bits of corn from your eaten dinner in the past, forgive me if I abstain from eating it. Don't be surprised if I also question why you invited me to dinner in the first place and become insulted and upset.

In fact, I may get even more upset if someone else at your table says something like "what's wrong? I thought you loved corn? That's what your asked for, how dare you insult our host!"

The chat box is the dinner and Russ Bullock is our host. Forum trolls are the insulting jerk at the table, ready to shovel poo corn into their mouths just to make us extra upset, and we are the unfortunate guests.

The chat have now become vicious... If you dont click the pop-up from time to time and let it blink like its no tomorrow, yeah the game frezzes in terror for some seconds, if not minutes depending on how long since you last checked the chatter.
Talk about amputating the communication.. wonder how much exploit this can pave the way for

Floating chat...still doesn't work when searching. LOL.

Goes nicely with new splash screens that don't expand for ultrawide. So pro.
