This was my favorite mech on TT over 20 years ago... its sad now to say that I think it has been rendered obsolete in MWO due to:

1. Mandatory 10 DHS means at 85 tons, it can mount 2 tons less weapons than a Night Gyr at the same armor rating and speed but without the jump capability and wasting 10 extra tons on a drop deck.

2. Same top speed as Kodiaks mean that if tonnage is not an issue, a 100 tons Kodiak will always be a better assault mech to field with more armor and firepower.

3. If you really need an 85 ton assault for your drop deck, the Marauder IIC has better hitboxes, MUCH higher speed while mounting the same amount of weapons or a slightly higher speed while mounting MORE weapons, making it impossible to prefer a warhawk over a marauder as an 85 tonner.

So, essentially, the main and only problem with the warhawk is the mandatory 10 tons of DHS!
It severely limits weapons loadout and choice.

So, to fix it, I think PGI should unlock those 10DHS. Just this one step alone will fix the warhawk and make it at least a viable option in some cases. Instead of beefing it up with pointless quirks, just unlock the DHS will do.

Nah, unlocking Hardwired gear will cause a shitstorm on the forums about other hardwired gear in other omni-mechs.
Albeit that the Mad-IIC is a great mech, the WHK is still technically better at PPCs and LRMS, it just became a bit more situational.
When feeling nerfed, stack and abuse quirks ^^
