Even happier that I got lucky and landed it on the first match I played for the challenge.

I've been picking up cells and taking them into battle specifically to help people out.

I got mine in my Reaver when some poor Shadowhawk picked it up. Mind you I had to chase him, suicide, and throw the match for my team, but it got the job done. #worth

I got lucky. Saw a MDD lurm boat with a battery and went for it with a streak oxide. Killed him with just 14 missiles remaining. :)

Prior to that I was hunting for lights. It was hard to find a single light carrying a cell, let alone one you can also run down in time.

This is the last part of the challenge I have to finish. I'm not going to worry about it. It's causing the worst case of tunnel vision during play and has caused a couple of my untimely deaths.

I just played for the 3 days of premium time. I had to wait for about 8 matches before Incursion came up for the first time and was lucky it was picked. Also got lucky and was on a good team. Once I got the 3 days I quickly logged off before it could activate. I'll use it to make up for the 3 days of premium time I'm loosing this weekend. I'll what the rest of the challenge out.

Personally, I can't believe PGI still HAS NOT learned from past mistakes..

If you're gonna do an event based on a single game mode, make sure said game mode is READILY AVAILABLE! Posted Image

The "failed delivery" challenge is almost impossible to complete, and here's why:

1) Incursion drops waaay to rarely.. I've been playing for the entire evening, that's like 30+ drops, and incursion dropped maybe twice

2) It's very difficult to get a fuel cell - the first on the scene is ALWAYS a locust, be it an enemy locust or a friendly. And it's difficult to take on a locust 1 on 1, no matter what mech you bring. If you bring anything slower than a light, the locust will be long gone by the time you get to the fuel cell.

3) Taking out an enemy locust that is carrying a fuel cell is nigh-impossible, since a locust can get away easily on most occasions, and catching one at the beginning of a match is described in point 2. Catching any other enemy fuel cell carrier is also extremely difficult, since once the first 3 cells are taken, nobody bothers with fuel cells anymore.. so it's down to luck.

In conclusion:

This event is extremely frustrating, because, it's like the stars have to align to even get an incursion match, and when they do, one has very little chance to actually do some of the challenges. Simply bad event design..

They say Locusts can outsmart me... maybe... *sniff* maybe...

I've yet to see Locust outsmart Streaks!

I nailed a Catapult carrying a fuel cell. Thing is, he tried to go into our base and deliver the fuel cell. The rest of his team joined in and we annihilated the whole lot of them. Me, I got him first before someone stole the kill. I swear, I busted a gut laughing. It was so unreal. . . you had to be there to see it. All I could think about afterwards was how dumb he was for trying to deliver a fuel cell to the wrong base.

Dont get upset about it,

when ever they make something new... a new mech.. a new map a new mode,

there will be a event that is directly related to it immediately after its release.....why?

beta testing... thats why..

I didnt even want to propitiate in it.. and i still got 3 days primo time and something else normally i dominate all the events with 100% completion

Sounds like a job for a Streak Crow

Fast, Light-Gimping potential, BAP+TAG means it will have 400M range for its Streaks

Ah, the Streakcrow. I only just got this challenge 2 hours ago as of this post on Polar, on a Shadow Cat. I saw Incursion around 12 times this whole event, and yet Conquest and/or Escort were options almost every single match.

He was running back to his base, likely hoping to outrun the range for my missiles using MASC. He might have succeeded, if I didn't have the Lv. 5 range and recycle modules on top of BAP and TAG, for 396M range.

Edit: added map, time, and gripes over the event

Just wanted to jump in and say thanks to Extremis. Dude graciously picked up an energy cell 2/3rds of the way through a Forest Colony match today, fully intending I presume to let another guy on my team standing right next to him get the achievement.

Luckily, my trusty BLR-2C was in the area and I made sure to alpha him in the back and steal the achievement. Posted Image

I just lack this achievement....the opportunity to bump into one is rare and even rarer the opportunity to land a killing blow to it.

Got mine by going full potato. LRMs on a fast moving medium. Wait until our lights engage and cut their ECM, then lay into them and steal the kill.

What? How is this any different than any other match?

Hawk.. was that me in a blue catapult? I had resolved to pick up cells and never deliver them, but fight and when I die someone can get Failed Delivery, bc that part was so dam hard to get. Plus being at enemy base there was a chance someone would be bringing one in :)
