Quick Summary how each SP/XP works

SP: 1 SP = 45K cbills + 800 XP
GSP: 1 GSP = 1 SP, 1:1 cbill module refund + Free 800 XP per 45K cbills
HSP: 1 HSP = 1 SP, 91 HSP per mech mastered, Free 45k cbills per 1 HSP

XP: XP locked on 1 mech
GXP: XP can be used any mech
HXP: XP locked on 1 mech variant

For full detail about refunds https://mwomercs.com...test-session-2.

GSP and HSP great right you dont have to remaster existing mech + FREE stuff yay!
GSP = your cbills + free exp => no grind future mechs.
  • Why would players with little module complain about cbill refund?
  • Why would players with alot modules complain about GSP refund?
GSP over cbill refund:

If you have mastered all your current mech GSP useles because you will use your HSP instead.
GSP only usefull on new mech or unmastered mech with low XP.
So the only upside about GSP is the free exp on NEW mechs. => reducing xp grind on new mechs.

This system works best for *module swappers* because they have a pool maybe 25+ mech they don't have to grind in the future. Most of there GSP will be used on brand new mech or existing unmastered mechs withouth grinding xp. Doing cbill refund would rob them from free XP they get out GSP.

Cbill over GSP refund:

GSP same as gift coupons in real world , cbills same as money in real world. Where GSP can only be used to level up mechs while cbills can be used on wider range. cbill refund => reducing cbill grind for new weapons, mechs.

This system works best for *module hoarders* because there GSP pool maybe 250+ mech they don't have to grind in the future. But they arent going to buy 250+ new mech, since they already have an big existing mastered mech.
Even withouth the free xp from GSP they can use there GXP + refunded cbills on new mechs and HXP or GXP + refunded cbills on current unmastered mechs.
GSP nothing more then cbill sink hole for them.
GSP is useless if your pool to big to ever able to spend it and unable to spend it on other things that more usefulll to you for cbills.

EDIT: I am for Cbill refund over GSP just to be clear, HSP cover my existing mechs and have enough GXP for 15+ new mech. The GSP system create a sinkhole off more then 1 billion unused cbill in for form of GSP for me.

Man, I need all of them C-Bills for the upcoming new tech, and those increased consumable slots. Don't care about GSP, cause I will be only playing 20 mechs at most, and shelve the rest for being useless.

That why i compared GSP as Gift coupons. They have the same cbill value only you can only spend it on one thing while cbills have bigger range of usefulnes (offtopic : wth people think gift coupon good idea as gift gimme just solid cash if you not giving present anyway goddamit XD)

I'll just sell my modules the day before skill tree patch. 50% refund.

Same i am sadly in the module hoarder camp just check the PTS server andi have GSP for 300+ mech and i only own 75+ mech (most fully mastered/moduled). IF the GSP and HSP is what it gonna be i am planning to sell atleast 2/3 of my modules (probably more). And Hoarding duplicate mechs for the HSP (my ebjs, grashopper, nightgyr, battlemaster, maddog, helbbringer, warhammer, kodiak gonna multiply like bunnies XD)

Are they still going to give the GSP? Because that sounds awesome.

Here's the error in this logic.

If you actually bought modules past Dec 2016, you're going to get a 100% refund.

The question is this: Have you actually kept track of how many modules you bought from that date? Probably not.

that is truth, however I have SO many modules that it doesn't matter at this point. Plus the amount of exp on all my mechs is at absurd amounts so I'm just gonna cash out the modules as I'll be able to skill up all my mechs anyway. Free mc, cbills from modules and I'll have a ton of skill points. I'm not too worried about how they do this. Plus, my Atlas D is gonna go from super tank to nigh unkillable monster with the skill tree as it didn't lose its armor quirks. :)

I'm in-between the two... I checked closer and have Mechs that have hardly hit the battlefield. I have Mechs at different stages of Mastery. I won't need all the GSP coming my way, but I can use a good chunk of it.

The perfect outcome? PGI let's us sell off Modules at 75% of the purchase price instead of 50% prior to the patch introducing the new Skill Tree. At least that would work out great for me.
