I(and many in my unit) have lots of modules, meaning lots of free mech leveling. If we don't have to grind XP to level mechs for months-years to come, then we can spend most/all of our time in private lobbies.

there is another issue nobody here mentions:

league /lobby play.

with the new tree you can mount up to 5 consumables in a match (if skilled)
now if you use those in lobby games (like torunaments, comp play etc always is), you need 200k cbills PER MATCH.
so, IF we get only gsp and no money... those players dont even have the money to afford this lobby play (except you grind just to compensate for those consumables that is )

We generally don't allow consumables in our private lobby matches.

Private Lobby matches are going to have consumable costs removed, and also requirement of Premium Time etc.

When that is coming, I don't recall. Was discussed in the comp round table as two specific outcomes that were going to happen.

Soon means 90 days+ though.

Those were things Russ said he would be considering, not something he said would definitely happen.

I expect leagues will limit consumables use.
